Holiday park

Very nice campsite. Park-like with big trees. Great facilities. Because I didnt book there was no-one in reception but there was a number to ring and everything was arranged over the phone.

I stayed for 2 days in one of the units. It was spotless and very comfortable. Beautiful views of the sea. Great customer service. Will definitely stay there again. Loved that there was a cafe with great food.

Had a wonderful stay.The new owners, Tracy and Mark are very friendly and are making great in roads into updating the park. Nothing was too much for them, even providing their own TV when ours didn't work.Would definitely stay again.

Both worked here and had parents live as long term tenants. Owner is a nasty, verbally abusive antagonistic man even to long term stays, talks rudely about guests behind their backs, racist. Poisons the air by burning rubbish and making the place smell terrible. Cares little about guests and will at best be nice to their face and rude behind their backs. I have never met someone so horrible in my life. Even when I was staff he was mean and unfair. Rabbits and pet birds kept in small cages with nothing to do and no space to run, the poor things, yet they claim to love animals. Some of the rooms are so damp there is water on the walls.

I was here towards the end of the season and had the place almost to myself.You can hear the road very quietly but in the evening and at night the traffic is less and then you hear nothing more.The sanitary facilities are not exactly abundant but they are very modern and clean. The showers had a great shower spray and also cost nothing extra.The host was totally friendly and also the booking and payment online worked great.I would come back anytime!

Over rate this place, stayed for 4 nights. In TV cabinet room. Was perfect for us of what we required of a room of a kettle plus a TV. Highly recommend the toilet and showering area, so clean and tidy. Love the music in there, gives a vibe to your day. Service of reception was out standing. Arrived late, rang back to see if we had bedding. A service of thinking of their guests. Well done St Kilda Hoilday Park, we will be back.

Great destination. Well equipped, clean and modern. We love the dog friendly sites too.Amenities always clean and kitchen well equipped. Everything is well appointed too and the bonus is the beautiful hot pool!! Staff are all friendly and the shop is great for all sorts that we’d forgotten! Will def return

Three friends and I stayed here while competing in the Kiwi Brevette 2017. We had booked in advance and found Ian very helpful in assisting with our planning. On the day we were due to arrive he rang and asked how we were going and followed us on Maprogress. We were late, arriving in the dark and rain. He and Pam opened the shop well after closing time and made us very welcome. Our room was ideal for our needs and the communal kitchen and ablutions were clean and well equipped. Before our departure the next morning Ian gave us a good brief on the conditions we would encounter on the next leg. Excellent experience!

We had a great weekend here in a lovely little cabin. A nice room, perfect location right next to the white sanded beach. The staff were friendly and made an effort to chat especially Murray and the toilets/showers and the kitchen were super clean. I highly recommend - especially for summer and especially for families with children.

We have been coming to Mapua Leisure Park for years but will not come again. $62.00 a night for a non-sea view powered caravan site is on par with the price of a lake view powered site in Queenstown (Frankton Holiday Park) We stayed at MLP mid-April - admittedly over the school holidays, but not high peak summer season. The facilities at MLP are very tired and no amount of fresh (but blistering) lime green paint is going to change that. The tracks around the camp are heavily pot-holed. The cleanliness of the facilities weren't great, but with the over all shabbiness it would be difficult to make them look fresh and clean.. The children's playground is a Health and Safety nightmare and needs urgent work on it. To be fair, it is difficult to see where the exorbitant rate charged is being spent! The staff, however, are friendly and efficient.
