Waimeha Camping Village

What a lovely place to stay. A++++ hosts and staff very friendly and helpful. Delish food and drink. Rooms are awesome with views in all directions. Will be back soon.

Awesome place, cabins and views. We stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Food at the bar was great. Thumbs up for the crayfish bites. Kids had a good time at the playground and checking the lighthouse and seals colony nearby. Shared kitchen is clean and tidy but could use a bit more equipment to be honest. Will definitely come again!! Thanks

What a cracker place with everything you need! So close to a handful of the Wairarapa's hidden gems so exploring is the top of the list every day.Camp sites, powered, non-powered, cabins and plenty of space so you're not on top of each other.The facilities (bathrooms, showers, kitchen) are all really nicely kept and extremely tidy.We arrived relatively unexpectedly and there was space for us. The campground had a beautiful view over the cook strait regardless of the weather - calm, sweet surf and even mezmirising on a windy day.The Bar/Restaurant was cosy and everyting you want from a country local (beer - tick). The food is delicious and depending on what's locally sourced the menu changes which is awesome and always guaranteed to be fresh.JP is a bloody good host. Very accommodating and always up for a good yarn and a laugh.We'll be back!

Awesome campground. We stayed four nights with our two little kids. Very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, amazing views from the campsites, very good facilities. Would loved to have eaten at their restaurant, but made the mistake of not confirming which nights they were open. Will have to come back again.

Basic but great, only had a quick head through the door in the office to ask about what they offer as I'm running a cycling event later in the year. Looks perfect for my needs. Apparently it's used by surfers as there's break near by. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

We stayed for one night in a cabin on site. It's simple equipment but alright for one night. The highlight of the place was the pub with friendly staff, honest food and delicious beer. They sanitary area is spacy and clean (2$ for 5 minutes hot shower) You have awesome views and the most beautiful sunsets we've seen in whole New Zealand.

We went touring along the coast with not much food and no plans on where to stay. We thought we would give Waimeha Camping Village a try not knowing what to expect. Well it was great and made even greater by John. What good genuine Kiwi bloke. He made sure we were well fed and kept us entertained with a good chat. Would certainly go there again.

Great food, good service, family friendly, lots of games for all ages and super accommodation for those that want a weekend of it. Will definitely bring friends and family to this place

JP the owner was an awesome host. Great location and views and it has everything like a Golf Driving Range and Cafe/Bar and pool table. We watched rugby and ordered food and drinks. Awesome place and will definitely visit again. Shoutout to the team at Waimeha for hosting our group what an awesome experience.
