Drum store

I came here to buy a guitar not too long ago as their shop in Westgate has been closed. I called up earlier and was told the guitar was available. The gentleman who spoke to me was friendly. When I arrived at the shop, obviously it was the same gentleman who attended to me. He was young, understanding, patience and knew the customer's need and requirement. However someone came out from the back of the shop. Obviously he looked much elderly. I presume he must be the manager as he acted like one. Then the look of his face and his unfriendly stare at the customer will drive you away. Appears he woke up on the wrong side of his bed. If not for the young man I would have walk out and buy the guitar from Rockshop just a few shops away. I guess Rockshop will be my next stop for any musical instruments.Just a note, the personnel at MusicWorks, Westgate gave the best service, from manager to sales personnel. Unfortunately they are closed for business permanantly.

I’ve just had the best experience with Beggs today. Rob Sissons helped me with a J Rockett order that I’d been excited about. He kept me in the loop with the stock arrival and made the whole experience feel seamless and personal. Actually makes you feel like you dealt with an old school mom n pop store. So glad I went local instead of buying overseas. Could not recommend these people more. Thanks!

The online Music planet team and staff at the Christchurch store were helpful and wonderful to deal with when we needed to return and exchange a damaged guitar. What started as a disappointing situation was turned around by great customer service and excellent communication. Thank you. I highly reccomend this business.

No question that the staff are knowledgeable with most instruments. Expensive repairs and a small in-store range takes it down to a 3 star. Instruments can be ordered but be prepared for the wait.

I have been searching for my dream guitar for a while and recently discovered the Ibanez AZ prestige range of electric guitars which looked to meet that standard. After visiting a couple of MusicWorks in Auckland, I ended up purchasing it from Robbie at Beggs MusicWork's in Nelson after some positive recommendations. I felt I received a much higher level of customer service from Beggs MusicWorks and most importantly I was treated fairly as a customer. Although I was not able to visit the store or try the guitar out in person since I live in Auckland, the whole experience was much better than you might expect, especially with Robbie's great communication and keeping me informed when the guitar would arrive. Beggs also checked the guitar out for potential QC issues so it arrived in perfect condition. I bought the Ibanez AZ2402 guitar and could not be more happy with the purchase and the service I received from Robbie and Beggs.

Was given quote to do minor repairs to guitar and when job completed was 15% dearer. Had forgotten" to factor in amount of time to do repairs..No choice but to pay now work is done. Not good."

Interior looks very tired, new carpet needed desperately. Very few instruments in stock.

What can I say, top notch service every time I walk in the door. I have bought a variety of items from Beggs ranging from Studio Monitors, condenser microphones, a PA System, my first Cole Clark, to my latest: A Fender Precision Bass. Robbie is a good friend of mine, but on top of that he is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the products he sells. Beggs is easily the best music store in Nelson, if not the whole of NZ.
