I’ve just had the best experience with Beggs today. Rob Sissons helped me with a J Rockett order that I’d been excited about. He kept me in the loop with the stock arrival and made the whole experience feel seamless and personal. Actually makes you feel like you dealt with an old school mom n pop store. I bought a junior drumkit from their trademe store for my son's birthday. I'm very impressed with the quality. It is extremely good value for money and my son couldn't be happier. Their customer service is fantastic and we'll definitely be buying from them again.

It is so refreshing having a shop like this in New Zealand and not having to import from overseas. The online Music planet team and staff at the Christchurch store were helpful and wonderful to deal with when we needed to return and exchange a damaged guitar. Attended a musical event, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Surrounded by beautiful pianos and busts of famous composers, it really set the scene for a spectacular evening.

No question that the staff are knowledgeable with most instruments. Expensive repairs and a small in-store range takes it down to a 3 star. Instruments can be ordered but be prepared for the wait.

I just popped in spontaneously after seeing the sign on the street. Boy was I glad I did. Despite not really being in market for a new guitar, Nic was immensely generous with his time. He took me through the enormous range of vintage guitars, explaining the differences between the models, the manufacturers, and letting me have a good play on anything that tickled my fancy. I’ve always loved secondhand guitars and I’ll be buying my next one from these guys.
