Tex-Mex restaurant

I love my Mexican food. I'll hit up a cantina EVEN when travelling in the UK, South Africa, or OZ to see what it's all about. I'm from California and have some amazing authentic Mexican food, and Agave has killer margaritas and some amazing steak fajitas. EASILY the best in NZ

Have been here alot but this time put me off. Not sure why it's changed but the grilled chicken was not grilled. It was really dry pulled chicken. The pulled pork was also dry. Both had an odd taste (reminded me of canned tuna). Order queso cheese on my fries which came with a very small amount in the corner.

Love this place, good food at a great price.

It's great for what it is, it's a pleasant place to enjoy a tasty ('subway style') Mexican place with a nice environment - much nicer than the one in the CBD. Good service, nice place and enjoyable food. Would be happy to dine there again.

An almost authentic Texan- Mexican restaurant with a kiwi touch. The foods we ordered are quite tasty though the guacamole can do a bit of salt. The service can be better. The music is louder than normal.

Had the slow cooked beef nachos and the meat was very dry and the queso didn’t taste very nice. Super disappointed to only receive meat, chips + sauces for $20

My wife and i had our first formal date was here, 12 years ago. We have come dozens of times since, and have never been disappointed. When we heard you were closing, we booked a table, loaded the kids in the car and drove 5 hours to come for a last meal. Ditching the kids with family, we arrived and with slightly heavy hearts we entered... The service has always been great here and this was no exception.. Friendly staff who have time to chat, good vibes and positive attitudes make us eagerly returning customers. We werent too sure about the QR code ordering system, cos we're pretty old school to a degree, but we managed it without issues and even spotted a few easter eggs" hidden in the menu. They gave us a good laugh. We ordered our favourites and took in the scenery for the last time. The taco salads arrived and were perfect (as always). Balanced

Got 3 beef and 3 pork tacos….. this is Mexican food if you think an airport terminal Taco Bell or Baja Fresh is Mexican food. We both ate half of one taco each, that is all we could stomach of the liquid cheese and burnt onions. Both meats were cold. I really Hope they read this and they go get a Mexican cook book out of the library. It’s insulting to the culture.

Not mexican food. I got a California burrito and it had no flavour at all. No music nor atmosphere, even though the owners were super nice. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I order the vegetarian quesadilla with tofu and the taste was soo bad that i feel like something was rotten inside. Just had 2 bites and left rest whole meal as is on table. Don't want to upset or spoil the day of staff working there. I was so hungry and that what i got. Full disappointment and frustration. Hope the explanation helps.
