Absolutely loved my visit to Greenhill yesterday with Bay Tours.Charlotte & Steve were most welcoming hosts.Look really forward to visiting again.

The hosts are the most welcoming people. Everything about this place is just amazing. And it has an interesting history.

A grand property with an amazing hotelier. John was a wonderful host, and makes a fantastic breakfast. We stayed in the cottage, and it was the highlight of our vacation.

Simply superb! Right from the the time we drove up the winding, tree-lined driveway through park-like grounds to the grandiose late 19th century built stately manor, all the way through our 24 hour idyllic stay.. everything was just absolutely top notch! Highly recommend the friendly service of our convivial, entertaining hosts Steve & Charlotte Wilson. Food & wine as good as anything that we’ve enjoyed anywhere!

Everything about Greenhill Lodge was lovely. The breakfast was great, and the views were just wonderful. We will definitely be back here!

Exceptional location. Wonderful facilities. Very great accomodation, and delicious food. The sunrise was one of the most beautiful photos I've taken in New Zealand with the mist in the trees and the mountains in the background.

John and Jennifer ran a fabulous gem of a lodge. It is a five star lodge in a rural area. The rooms are clean, well stocked and lovely. There were lots of amenities. Breakfast and lunch were prepared by the owner, a trained chef, and were delicious. If you are coming to see Hawkes Bay, this is the place you want to stay- fabulous.

I cannot speak highly enough of our hosts Steve and Charlotte - they were simply fantastic and no ask was too much - they went above and beyond to make this a most memorable stay and we loved chatting with them at the fire place and over brekkie - just wonderful people and the lodge is stunning! Thank you thank you thank you - cannot wait to come back and visit and would recommend to anyone looking for a gorgeous break in a five star lodge with ten star hosts ! My wife Laurie and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Greenhill last October. Our hosts Christine and John were most gracious and ensured our stay was most memorable. Our stay at Greenhill lodge was the best night we had in NZ. We came across them by chance when frantically googling for same day accomodation before a wedding in the Hawkes Bay and were so pleased that they had space for us. Steve and Charlotte are so hospitable and it was such a dreamy stay. I’ve never stayed in a BnB before and was a bit nervous that it wouldn’t feel private but Greenhill really feels like a chic hotel and Steve and Charlotte live in a very seperate area to the guests.The home itself is beautifully decorated, with lovely toiletries, coffee making, ironing board etc in your room. The beds are super comfortable and the house is so quiet so you will have a wonderful sleep.You get to choose a welcome bottle of wine from their fantastic collection and the breakfast was outstanding. It’s such a beautiful spot to enjoy a glass of wine, you can even do so in their lovely hot tub, or wander the gardens and visit the alpacas. They have a wonderful collection of cats and dogs who are also charming to say hello to!I would say you need a car to stay here, and then you can go and explore all that Hawkes bay has to offer.We hope to return soon.
