Angler fish restaurant

Drove in with no expectations, left wanting to return. Armed with fishing rod, net, fish box and spike, (free) headed to the recommended spot on the lake. 3 minutes beautiful little salmon in the box. Decided to get it smoked two ways to take away. Sat on the deck in the sun and enjoyed a glass of local wine. Just finished dinner and it was so delicious

Really fun and great experience for all. We caught 6 fish and amounted to roughly $200+ price is reasonable and rod and bait are free. Fish is really easy to catch. Great place to spend the day. They have a playground for the kids and cafe for the adults. You can choose to smoke your fish, keep it fresh or sashimi. I reckon smoking it is the best. The fish taste great as well. Not too oily and big compared to other salmon

This place is a local gem and a must visit. The salmon platters are huge. Try your luck at catching your lunch. The smoking on demand service is amazing. Kid friendly and pet friendly and great grounds.

We had a great time ! We didn't have experience fishing but the staff showed us how to and gave us a lot of tips. It took us some time but we both caught our fish in the end. We got one in sashimi and ate it on the spot, and got the other one smoked for take away. It was delicious. The man preparing our fish also let us watch and explained lots of stuff. We definitely recommend this place!

From lake to plate experience. Use of rods and bait are free, which is a bonus. The average weight of fish is displayed, so you have a rough idea if the size. We decided to catch 2 fish around 1kg to 1.2kg each, which was more than enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Have it smoked or Sashimi. You can feed the Tame Eels too, $3 for the feed

Hubby loved this place and was keen to show me,very interesting and great layout but our Cafe experience at the end killed it.Guy at the counter(Kyle) was TOO interested in txt’ing to worry about us until I interrupted him,then took our order and immediately went back to txting.I said ‘do we take a seat? Do you bring the food to us?’ He looks up,says oh,I should give you this (a table number) and back to the cell phone.I was already irritated but after getting our drinks and finishing them... still no food arrived (others after us had received) so I went and asked a young lady in another section who checked and our food order hadn’t even been put through (after a good 30mins) so asked for my money back and we left.Spoilt the whole experience

Got there late in the day , picked up a rod each baiting the hook with a small bit of Samon and voila we had a fish each . Got them both smoked at a cost of $18 . $118 total for 3kg of smoked Samon not to bad for the price of Samon in the supermarkets and that's not fresh . There was 8 other people there all got the same deal . And icing on the pudding we were all in our motorhomes and stayed the night in there car park . And DOG friendly.

Fantastic place to visit for lunch. Highly recommend.Amazing variety of salmon options. You can catch your own and they will cook or clean it out to your special requirements.Great place to bring the family for a fun outing. Great facilities, helpful team, easy access to everything for any abilities. Good disabled parking and overflow parking on busy days.Amazing long fin eals that float past while you enjoy your lunch.Good way to understand and learn lots about salmon.Best way to take home some very yummy fresh salmon treats too.

Really enjoyed this activity! Only took 15 mins to catch a salmon. Had it smoked and ate it for lunch! Very cool idea. Only 4 stars because the eels are so ugly!
