Timber Trail Shuttle & Bike Hire

Second time I’ve done this now with a girlfriend of mine and we brought another friend along with us so she could experience the trail too. Epic ride and fantastic service from all the transfers to the comfort of the lodge. Highly recommend.

Super helpful esp as I left my shoes behind and the team organised for my cleats to be swapped for pedals (duh!). Lovely food and very warm rooms. Entire trip was streamlined beautifully and Rob the van driver was a font of all local knowledge and worthy of a prize for his wonderful banter and memories of the area. A real bonus.

Vaughan, our shuttle driver, was very informative and safety conscious but also relaxed and helpful. The biking trail is awesome but I might opt for a bike with rear suspension next time. The extra walk to the summit of Mt. Pureora is worthwhile as the views are epic. The lodge provides everything you need for restful stay and comfortable night.And E bikes are fantastic.Do it!

Amazing service, very efficient. The staff were great and all knowledgeable locals who provide great insight into the rich history of the area. Highly recommend staying at the Timber Trail lodge as well. Our first trail ride and it was amazing, very well sign posted and a well maintained track. Beautiful scenery. We will be back to do the second half.

Awesome experience, a really cool ride. You don’t need to be overly fit to enjoy and complete the ride. Beautiful bush and native birds. The lodge was perfect, it had everything you need after a day of riding. Food was beautiful.A big thanks to the exceptional staff.

We had the luck of 2 sunny days ( it rains a lot here) , which definitely made our ride. We were a fairly inexperienced group and the ride has tricky aspects with rocks, ruts, tight corners and lots of mud. E bikes made it much easier - but it is definitely grade 3 and most of us fell off at least once.Timber trail lodge is lovely with big comfy beds and yummy home styled cooked food. Great helpful staff. Awesome experience!

Thanks for making the logistics of the Timber Trail easy. Dave, your driver, had a wonderful humour and I appreciated the knowledge about the area he shared with us as well as the care he took in navigating the road.The shuttle was such a welcome sight at the end of the ride and the trailer was set up to make sure our bikes were not only secure but not rubbing against each other which was appreciated.We are looking forward to coming back and seeing you again another time.

Had a amazing time riding the timber trail. It was run like a well oiled machine. From vehicle transfer, to friendly staff, excellent accommodation at the Trail Lodge, lovely food & friendly staff. The beauty of the forest was stunning and the bridges were awe inspiring. Also enjoyed the history of the trail.

Timber trail shuttle and bike hire make exploring the Timber trail easy.All Communication was clear and precise, service punctual, shuttle efficient, accommodation comfortable, clean, warm and spacious, well run with great food, and bike/track advice accurate and sensible. We ventured into the Pureora forest with confidence.It was a fantastic ride. Mostly in beautiful forest canopy, the bird life singing, misty and atmospheric. We will be doing it again and we will definitely use Timber Trail Shuttle & Bike Hire again. Their relationship with the Timbertrail Lodge makes a trip into the wild seamless, while eliminating the logistical issues these adventures can present. Definitely recommend.

Friendly, professional and informative staff whose service was amazing. The commentary on the way to the start of the trail by the bus driver was interesting and made the trip even more exciting. (A pity that the speaker system wasn’t functioning very well). The trail was amazing on both days to do and the friendly shuttle driver at the end of the trail was the icing on the cake. A great experience!
