Ive been here a short time with Wendy, shes organized heaps of stuff in that short period of time, She seems to be very people focused, and drawing parallels with what you want and how to get there, which when your in the situation of not having a job can be hard to see. Thanks APM and Wendy!!!!

Beautiful village, best views in town

Found a career on second floor at 3pm lying down on the patient lounge couch chatting on her phone. Lovely.! Even if your shift finishes in 1/2 he you could be doing a residence nails or chatting to them. Shame on you.2 days on what an amazing response from Awatere manager Cushla. Thrilled to say the incident is being investigated promptly. Thank you. So thrilled to have such genuine rapid responses

Quite possibly the worst resthome I have ever encountered. My grandparents are treated as though they are in a prison, not as though this is their home that they pay for. Visitors are restricted, they aren't allowed out, staff are bossy & not caring of their wishes, they aren't treated with integrity or dignity & if it wasn't hard on them to move them, I would. If you care about your elderly relatives, DO NOT let them live here. I'm disgusted at the treatment at this poor excuse for a care facility.

I cant stress how nice this place is. My father in law has early onset dementia and has been in a home for years now this has been the nicest one he has ever been to. It's amazing the staff is so friendly the food is great everyone is so accommodating.

Severerly understaffed, the place is neglected and so are the residents.. they sit in soiled nappies for days on end, killing their dignity. Send ya loved ones elsewhere they deserve better than this for profit cash cow instutution.

Flaxmore provides excellent care of our mother. She is so happy there and the staff are so caring that she thinks she lives in a hotel! Flaxmore is not the newest care facility in town but what it lacks in flash furnishings is more than made up for by the personal care and respect provided by the staff and having had experience of both we are well qualified to compare. The grounds are beautifully kept and the meals nutritious. The recreation staff kept the residents well occupied and stimulated with a variety of crafts, events, celebrations and outings. We regularly receive photos of our mother enjoying an activity.

Lovely staff. Residents are well cared for in a homelike atmosphere.
