THE. BEST. RAMEN.Everything was so good!!! I am still quite newbie in the ramen game but so far this place is the best ramen place I’ve been in Auckland!!! Plus the chef is such a delight, you can see him preparing your ramen for you!!

food never seems to be fresh, most of it looks like it had been sitting there for days or made a few days before. I had gotten an bento box pack with chicken karage , chicken sushi rolls and teriyaki and rice . The karage wasn’t crunchy anymore and tasted old and dry. On one sushi roll i had found the chicken was growing mould. I did not see this before when buying the sushi since it was hidden underneath the non mouldy chicken roll.

We called to book a table and were quite happy we did so because the place was very busy when we arrived; we did have to wait some 15 minutes in the queue to order food. Nevertheless he staff was kind at all times. The food was delicious.

I have tried quite a few Japanese remen in Christchurch, and this place is the best in the town. Love all their entries especially their crispy Japanese chicken! Their ramen soup has very rich in flavour. You will always get very friendly service from there.

Overall it's a good bowl of ramen. Noodles always well cooked. Light on topping for the price in my opinion, but I guess simplicity is their style.As you can see, for $3.50, maybe skip the egg.Otherwise really nice place with great service and a big menu.

Ramen Takara Browns Bay
Eating at this restaurant I recommend you trying out the karrage chicken (Japanese fried chicken) as a side dish to share.As ramen is noodles it is prone to expanding and degrading the taste of the dish. It would be nice if side dishes and appetizers are served so they do not overlap with the ramen. When I ate there the side dish was served along with the noodles.

Used to be a regular here but I won't be anymore. Recently the chicken has been pretty dry but today it was the texture of leather, chewy and gross . The prices keep going up and quality down

This place really has an authentic feel, really takes me back to my holiday in Japan. Great food, very well priced and fast. We return almost on a fortnightly basis after work.
