As a self proclaimed ramen enthusiast, I can say this place serves the best tasting noodle soup in town - though it is not a ramen purist's choice, I consider their broth to be unmatched in all noodle joints in Christchurch. They also serve their noodles with vegetarian-friendly broth, but I personally prefer my noodles glazed in their umami tonkotsu broth. The fact I could only see two people working in the whole restaurant, it can get easily busy and food could come a bit late, so best to come early. Luckily, there's a piano, cajon and a guitar to keep people entertained while waiting.

The special sesame broth is amazing, the kind of broth that won't look amiss in Japan. The noodles is of fantastic texture and like all japanese places the eggs are always on point. I enjoyed all the green toppings the ramen came with, the charsu can be a little bit better but overall was a ramen worthy of its name.

Best ramen in Christchurch where all the Asian food are watered down and missing the pungent strong flavor! Their broth still have lots of kick, but of course you can water it down with their free vegs broth if it's too strong/salty

Tasty, very tasty, but almost too rich. I ordered a sesame broth style of ramen and while it was delicious it was almost too rich. Maybe I’ll try another style next time. The noodles were really good quality and the service was great.The restaurant itself is a little strange, but entertaining I guess.It’s a great place.

No wonder why their rating is flashing high. I noticed this ramen restaurant is open and tried shoyu ramen with edamame beans today. Everything has been perfect from food quality to customer services. Very good price with much portion too. There is a building upgrade going on in front of the restaurant. Hope this does not affect the business too much for too long. Will come back with family.

Best ramen place in town, it’s definitely a little innovative rather than purely traditional, which doesn’t mean it’s not awesome. The noodle is perfectly Al dente, in great quality and precisely cooked, the broth is flavorful and rich, and most importantly, u can tell the authentic ingredients like pork bone. Will be back regularly.

The staff's behavior was surprisingly rude and disrespectful.We have been arranged a table and seated, waiting for our friends to arrive. They were slightly delayed, but they were only 5mins away from joining us. There were 2 groups waiting in line behind us, which is a common practice in the food industry.It's understandable to wait in line until being assigned a table and being informed of the estimated wait time for available seats.However, we were shocked when a staff member approached our table and asked if the newcomers could take our seats, instead we stand up and wait. This solution was highly unprofessional and incredibly impolite.We tried to be understanding and suggested that we could place our order now and even order for our friends. To our surprise, the staff refused, stating that orders could only be placed when the person was physically present at the table.I have never encountered such poor service in any restaurant before. I strongly urge the owner or staff to learn how to effectively manage seating arrangements and implement appropriate protocols for handling such situations. These are essential aspects of running a business.Let's not even discuss the quality of the food since we didn't get the chance to try it. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this place, nor will I recommend it to anyone.We felt extremely uncomfortable and decided to leave. It's worth noting that while the taste of the food matters, if the service industry doesn't know how to respect its customers, the business will struggle to survive in the market.（btw the mismatch between ramen and music is understandable since this is simply a fast-food establishment where they expect customers to eat quickly and leave. It doesn't seem like they prioritise creating an atmosphere for enjoying music. If the restaurant is named Fast-Food Ramen

The food is nice, but they have only 2 staff including the chef, even order takes longer time to wait. We have to queue for long time, because the staff is busy of preparing food, even the staff who are handling the counter will jump to the kitchen to help the chef too. But worth to wait, cause the food is good. Definitely will come back again.
