Great place to take a break and dry out with an e bike on the almost arduous slog over Hikuai- Kopu highway 25a.The resident apprehensive rooster is a great distraction so far...Monday morning is the best time to add to the alluminium can and glass bottle collection.It's a pity that some people regard this area as a dumping ground and a place to litter which detracts from a rest area with much potential.

Trentham Memorial Park
Upgrades are currently occurring at Trentham Memorial Park.The new BBQ and seating area look amazing and there is very little disturbance to the park as the work is being carried out.Still well worth a visit, particularly with such beautiful autumn colour to stroll through.

Memorial Wall Christchurch
Lovely wee spot. I had the joy of sitting on a park bench watching a lady trying over and over again to throw a hat back up to a bloke who had it blown of his head by the wind. A good 6 attempts boomeranged back to her before she finally quit and walked it up to him. You can't buy that sort of entertainment.
