Drum school

Lessons from Rhohil Kishore have been the catalyst in my musical development. Starting out, he was able to create an easy to understand pathway which gave me confidence in improving on the drumkit. Now studying at Jazz school, I owe alot of my knowledge to him and encourage anyone wanting advanced and specialised lessons to approach Rhohil.

Harry, my grandson has been having drumming lessons with Steve since he was 5, so almost 4 yrs. Steve is a top class musician and teacher. Harry enjoys his lessons and is doing well. I would highly recommend Steve. It is wonderful that his students have the opportunity to learn from such a great artist. Steve's patience, dedication, friendliness and encouragement with students is excellent.

Neil Stewart was the teacher who helped me develop my subdivision of time and hand-foot coordination to a new level. These essential skills have helped me throughout my musical career, giving me a skills tool-kit to approach playing in various musical contexts.Neil was my teacher for a few years, and I would highly recommend him as a teacher for his musicality, his perceptive assessment of the needs of the student, and his ability to demonstrate throughout the lessons. 5/5

Great practice space! They have everything from headphones, to music stands and all the drums/cymbals. Great place and friendly staff.

My son is very happy with the drum lessons! The teacher Neil is very friendly, very kind and he does his job very professionally! I will recommend them to any of my friends who want their child to learn from the best!

Rhohil is an excellent drum teacher who has developed a great rapport with my 10-year old son. He is patient and supportive as my son tackles new rhythms and techniques. I have seen good progression in my sons’ drumming, both in terms of performance and music theory. Highly recommend Rhohil!

My son was with another drum school but wasn't making as much progress as I had hoped. We switched to Paul and he has since flourished, enjoying his lessons and engaging well with Paul. We are now switching our other son over from his previous guitar school to Paul for the same reason. Can't recommend him enough.

My 6 year old son has thoroughly enjoyed his first term at Manawatu Musician Makers and we can't wait to return next year. The tutors are friendly, talented & incredibly invested in each individual student. Mark himself has a great energy about him and it is obvious that his passion for music, as well as sharing his knowledge and talent with others is contagious.Despite being a small, family operated business they go above and beyond to ensure that everyone is able to attend lessons no matter their financial situation, offering different payment options if required so that no one misses out. I have nothing but positive things to say about these amazing people and wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend MMM to anyone of any age wanting to begin or continue their music journey. Fantastic teacher, really keeps my Son interested and motivated to keep learning. A great mix of theory and practical fun. Highly recommended.
