So expensive. Not super fresh oysters... 1 Job. Staff we friendly. back up the road 3km, a dozen for what they charge for half. Also was fresh as can be. Also had better bluff oysters in Queenstown for the same price. Poor staff eats instant noodles. Which boss wouldn't feed their staff?

Great restaurant with scenic view of the sea while having your food and drinks. It is located on the high slope overlooking the sea. The Bluff oysters are only available in March onwards. Fast and friendly service.

A great restaurant with beautiful food although they had no chef when we visited. The staff were doing a brilliant job seeing food was still available. Wheelchair ♿️ friendly with 1 Bay at the top of the driveway right outside the entry. Fantastic views out over Foveaux Strait with Stewart Island in the distance.

There was a sign out front saying the staff were in training but we had a fantastic experience here. Our food arrived within 15 minutes and was hot & fresh! Definitely come and enjoy the pacific coast oysters with a panoramic view of Bluff!

Not what we hoped for. The seafood platter was without bluff oysters as they were out of season. The substitute offered was paua, not Pacific oysters. For $120, the platter value proposition was lacking. Instead, the blue cod was perfectly cooked but expensive at $32. The seafood chowder was disappointingly bland. The wedges were standard wedges found anywhere.

Ordered 3 Seafood chowder and one Chocolate brownie at 2 pm and waited 73 minutes for the food turn up to the table. Generous portion of seafood but soup were too watery, soup and fish were not much flavourtogether. Finished it all because too hungary but won't go back for next time.Great loction with a magnificent view but not worth $107 (3Seafood chowder, 1 Brownie 2 hot chocolate and 1 Cappuccino. )

We came with low expectations because of the reviews, and were pleasantly surprised as a result. When we arrived around 1:30 pm without reservations, about half of the window tables were available. We were seated at one without even needing to request it. Maybe that's the right time of day to walk in if you're hoping for a window table! The fisherman's platter turned out to be the perfect way to try a bunch of seafood, and was the ideal amount for 2 people. Between my husband and I, we really enjoyed each part of the platter. I was particularly impressed by the light, crispy batter on the cod!The only nitpicking things I'd point out are details like not bringing an extra plate for empty mussel/oyster shells, and not being checked on at all once the food was dropped off (so we couldn't ask for a shell discard plate). No big deal, and totally understandable during pandemic times, but worth mentioning just to make it clear that it isn't a high-end fine dining experience.

We had an amazing dinner at Oyster Cove. The Beef Steak and the Lamb were exceptional and its perfectly cook to request. Hats off to the chef. Kid's friendly, the high chair for our baby was already prepared in the table when we arrived. The view was amazing, the price for the food was reasonable, the staff were nice with friendly smile.

Was really happy to be back here after 5 years. I remembered that my family had a really wonderful time at Oyster Cove that time. However, our visit today was truly disappointing. I can’t really put fault to the front of house as there were only 2 of them working. We had to wait 30 minutes before getting our order taken and another 1 hour 15 minutes before food started to arrive on the table. A shame that a restaurant of this class is often understaffed and overworking their employees. While the wait is horrible, the food was even worse. We had to send back our steak as it was over cooked (requested medium). The second time of asking, steak still looked the same.Oysters did not look fresh and we had to force ourselves to finish eating it.Overall a bad experience and I would ditch the view for better food somewhere else.
