Mill Creek Bird Park and Animal Encounters

absolutely amazing birds and animals the owners kept here. didn't know there's a campground as well. highly recommended. there's a few kms of gravel roads to drive to get here.

Camped here in the cabins over Easter break with friends, such a great stay in beautiful location with an abundance of wildlife not only birds, also Alpacas, Donkeys, Goats, Horses. Lovely friendly hosts Gaye & Fred and not too far away from Whitianga central. Great shared amenities such as the huge kitchen and wonderfully strong hot showers - will definitely revisit en masse again. Thank you VERY much!!!!

Awesome place. Kid's loved it. Looks a little rundown - guessing covid has had an impact. Worth your time and energy though. The birdlife was amazing.

Its ok. Been a few times in the past few years which were way better unfortunately. Place looked tired but understandably they might not have much of a cash flow due to covid in recent times

It's fun, and such a wide range of very friendly birds and animals. Would definitely come here again. Nice private camping area as well with all the facilities you need.

The loveliest place for miles around! There's ducks, pigs, donkeys, horses, llamas, an emu, peacocks, and all sorts of amazing birds! The camping is very quiet and has all the facilities you need. The lady here will tell you all about the birds and you can feed the animals if you want (they sell animal food). Most of the birds are rescued too, so come here and support a good cause!

This place is absolutely magical... I can not speak more highly of the owners and their pure love and admiration for their beautiful creatures. You will never meet more invested parents, the animals really are their babies! Such kind, welcoming, beautiful people and because of this we can't help but keep coming back for visits. Well loved and looked after animals and it shows. Food can be bought to interact with the many gorgeous animals and their personalities are to die for... my favourite girl is LaLa the Corella (bird). My 10 year old is in heaven each time we arrive, she never wants to leave! Thank you both for such a memorable experience every time. Awesome people, amazing animals!! ❤

Best place to be remote and pet some animals.Facilities are great. Clean kitchen. Shower and bathroom.Phone signal is very low and hard to be online.Personally not fan of caged animal but the free friendly roaming peacocks. Ducks. Piglets are niceFew cabins are available to rent or setting up your own tent at site
