Avis Car Rental Picton Ferry

Had to wait 2 hours to pick up vehicle.Appalling service.Car was obviously damaged and repaired.Disappointing.

Friendly and helpful staff. Everything was prepared when I arrived but the wating time in queue was a bit long.

Super easy location to get your car after leaving Interislander Ferry, but really disappointed there was nobody there when the ferry first arrived at the terminal. I had to phone up on behalf of the large queue forming and was told someone would be down in a couple of minutes! One person eventually did arrive about 5-10 minutes later, but I don’t understand why they weren’t open in the first place considering they could see the ferry had arrived due to it’s on site proximity.

Nice car, but staff had no idea how to handle a contract running more than a month

Horrible expérience à la descente de l'interislander. J'ai fait la queue une première fois au comptoir avis. Pour la première fois depuis que je loue des voitures, il a fallu la signature de mon mari. Susan (seule vendeuse au comptoir) décide de la pluie et du beau temps.Pour nous : il a fallu retourner faire la queue une deuxième fois ensemble puisqu'elle l'avait décidé. Au total 75min d'attente!!Son ton est particulièrement désagréable. Pour un alllemand devant nous, il a fallu qu'il refasse la queue pour un GPS!!À éviter absolument !!! Quelle mauvaise impression à l'accueil sur south Island. Heureusement, c'est la seule personne désagréable de nz que l'on a rencontrée !

If you are going to book here make sure you get the car you want. Small is small and they have absolutely no flexibility to upgrade you at this location. First time I have wanted to upgrade anything and have been told no. The staff is nice but you can tell they are strained by the management at this facility.

Vehicle return was polite, courteous and without problem.
