Bulls Motel & Holiday Park
Booked only the day before. 2 rooms. We were a couple of commercial drivers.Very friendly and helpful staff.Motel was fully booked by that night, and I belive most nights.All stayers looked like commercial travelers/nearby workers who regularly stay orthe ones we spoke where.A couple of tourists.Comfortable and quiet.You have to pop up into Bulls for a meal, 10/15min walk, 3 minute drive.Wifi worked well enough, great shower.

We had a great holiday, Bulls is so central. Grounds are lovely and swimming pool and rooms are very clean. We appreciated being able to have our small dog with us.

Friendly, welcoming, accommodating the new owners made my stay a pleasant experience. Everything is well maintained with some nice added touches ( flowers in front of units, decent coffee & plunger, spa working ) thank you a convenient over night stop.

We got there as backpackers and took a double room. The room is really small, once you have two backpacks on the floor, you can barely navigate. The shared kitchen is empty, you have to rent a pic-nic set with plates, pan, cutlery,... Was not advised upon arriving and as the reception close quite early (6pm), we learner it the hard way.Else the spa is really welcome and hot. Would probably go there again if I go to Bulls another time.

We check-in late and got our keys from the box. This was our stop-over stay from Auckland to Wellington.Clean, tidy, comfortable beds as I was so tired from the long drive. Need proper exhaust in the bathroom as moulds are building up and the windows condensates. Just be prepared for the vehicle noises as the park is along SH1.

Stayed two nights, first night was okay. Room was tidy and all amenities worked well.Pool was very cold so was the spa which was such a bummer.Second night was the worse experience I've had at a Motel. The owners got home at midnight or abit earlier and partied so loud until the morning/at least 5am.Not only was their music blasting through our rooms waking my 3yr old and elderly grandmother but their yelling and arguments were horrendous.We had a very long drive home ahead of us and needed to be well rested, so if that is what you need/or looking for, or have children I would not recommend staying here!!!!

Well, room was clean and tidy, needs a curtain over door window at night light shines in.Dont sleep in cabin 16, too noisy with rooms above. We were woken at 4am with people above entertaining, no respect.Not sure if they have permanent residents in there, but very disappointing, not sure if we'd come back.

There was no ac in the motel and it relied on natural ventilation. The rooms were very stuffy. Would not recommend staying. They made you climd a dangrrouse ladder to get to a tiny and dirty room on the second floor.

Beautiful motel, clean and spacious room. Stayed for one night with my parents. The room we booked are like a small one storey cottage. Bedsheets and toilets were clean. The heater in the room was strong, and my family loved it a lot.They have one parking lot for each room. We could park our car right in front of our room.Two points to note. Firstly, the reception had no one when we arrive. There was a note requesting us to call a local phone number, the staff picks up the phone promptly and came back to the reception to check us in. Secondly, the shower at night had limited hot water. And we had to wait for the hot water to heat up before use.

Nice park, but right on the main road so be prepared for noise. The womens bathroom was nice and clean but my partner said the mens bathroom wasn't good. The kitchen was tidy, there was a permanent resident who didn't really allow anyone else near the TV. We got in at one point and he kicked us out to watch the news later. That wasn't so bad as we used the pool and spa. The pool wasn't really usable till later as it has no shade, it also feels quite odd with all of the rooms looking in on you while you swim. Could do with some greenery and a shade sail. One of the residents set off fireworks and some of the kids got upset.
