Purewa Cemetery and Crematorium
Quite a large cemetery that is divided into sections. Each section has a different burial types. Be wary that the road is generally one way since its fairy tight particularly with cars parked on the side. The main office is out front with the chapel.

Waimea Plains Railway & Rogers K92 Locomotive, Mandeville, Southland, NZ
The Waimea Plains Raillway is a little treasure in the middle of the desert. It is located withing the rolling plains in the heart of Southland. The railway is run by a dedicated band of welcoming enthusists who take the train about a kilometer and back down a windy track. The old Rogers K92 classic steam train with a coal cart and carriage. Is a delightful return to the past glory days of steam trains.I would thouroughly reccomend a nostengic trip down memory lane.

The Victorian Heritage Centre
Spent a few lovely days in Omaru a year ago. This center is just great to spend time. It has a lot to offer, so many places to see, local shops to dive in, museums and even farmer's market. Overall great place.

So nice to see the love given to this old beauty of the steam age, well worth a look, going to be so good when they have a good length of track to let her stretch.

Waimea Plains Railway & Rogers K92 Locomotive, Mandeville, Southland, NZ
Awesome to see such beauties from time past being preserved. Well done to everyone involved. Would have loved it if the train can do a little loop as opposed to just forwards and backwards, but also understand the financial constraints the team are working with.
