Awarua Communication Museum
This is a museum dedicated to radio and telephone communications .It is based near the Awarua radio station built pre WWI that received short wave messages from world wide shipping. The area chosen as it was quiet from electronic interference.Museum contains a old cinima. Showing can be arranged. Open Sunday afternoonNote three cottages next door build for original radio operators
