Went for dinner tonight, family of 6. Ordered a variety of items, snapper, nuggets, paua fritter, hot dogs, fish burgers and chips. The food was ok, nothing particularly amazing considering how ridiculously expensive it was! 2 bones too - one in a fish burger and another in snapper fillet. No sauce on the hot dog either.Wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend.

Off main road opposite car park. Large table sitting 8 & long benches facing outside shop. Fresh choices of various fish in fish & chips. Payable sauces. Adult palm size burgers with fresh veggies, pickles & sauces. Kumara fries available. Good portion of fries accompanying your oder. Spicy noodles on menu

Fantastic fish n chips. Reasonable price for majority of the menu.No crumble fish, but grilled is great.Other items are great like Burgers are the best in town.Just what you need in a local takeaway

I have become addicted to this place I get a kids meal 3 fish bites and chips and the fish bites are a nice size and the helping of chips is huge. I can't even finish them. The fish is fresh and tasty. I just ordered a Thai meal from them tonight Chicken and cashew on rice. The meal is a very big size, tasty and comes with rice good for its price.. I will be ordering that more often too.. great staff, decent price for Paihia and big portions... fresh and delicious, thank you.

Too lazy to cook. Fish was good size chips nice.service -staff friendly n polite. Price for burgers blew my mind, way over priced , tried one nice but expected more for price tag. Looks like back to hme made burgers, bit more work but more bang for your buck and more options. Good place for non cook's n fish n chips option.

Fish cooked nicely. Not too oily. Chips were salted a little heavy as per my daughters request. (Not my preference)A bit on the expensive side.The waiting time was good. 15mins as informed.I'd only go here again because I know one of the workers, she has good work ethic.

Our family of 4 bought the snapper special, kumara chips and pineapple fritters tonight, Saturday. We all agreed excellent meal, crisp chips and batter, good value. Thank you

Fish was good but got battered when I asked for crumbed. Squid rings were processed and not actual squid and the oysters were very small as in there was about three times as much batter as there was oyster. Won’t come here again

Okay, to start with I grimaced at the price of the fish $11 ea and burgers $13. I went with the bacon and egg burger. IT WAS A GOOD BURGER! real thick beef pattie, egg, bacon..extras. Sure a pricey burger but a very good one, tasty and filing. Thanks Paihia Fish and Chips, sorry about grizzling at the beginning. Great answer from the shop attendant:I don't know
