Off the beaten track but couldn't have asked for better service. Thanks Jared & Lauren for making us feel at home.you are doing amazing things as the new owners. Friendly welcoming great food and hospitality. Will definitely be back to see your plans grow into realities. LOVE the swing seat. .

Great friendly service from Jared & his lovely partner Lauren. The food was exceptional.we stayed in the accomadation which was comfortable and the shower had great pressure.A really nice place to pass some time. There is a huge fish pond in the garden deck outside.We meet some lovely people & heard many tales & Shadow the dog was beautiful.Thanks for having us

We were staying out in the area and chanced upon this place for dinner. Owners were really friendly and even showed us around the lodging as we waited to pick up dinner. Food was one of the more affordably priced ones for sure which helps for the budget-conscious. So lovely!

The food was excellent - the local koh Burger was the best burger I have ever had. Jared & Lauren were most accommodating and nothing was problem. An awesome country pubThe room was pleasant with the best pressure shower.

The Burgers were amazing! Great value and packed full. The chips cooked crispy and fluffy on the inside. Generous and scrumptious. Our new local!!!

We came in later, at about 8 and parked our RV. We went inside to the bar and were welcomed warmly, by the owners and patrons. Look for Shadow, an amazing hound.

Just dropped by for a midday drink, but SO impressed by the friendly welcome. Just a few hundred metres off Hokatika to The Gorge route. Worth the detour.

Such a friendly place and lovely people run this very typical NZ pub with rooms and great to meet the locals at the bar. Thanks Jared, Lauren, Greg, Adrian, Peter, and everyone else for being so friendly and Shadow for licking my legs.Don’t expect luxury just good honest accommodation, great home cooking, huge bar, billiards darts and family games galore.Close to some of the best fishing on the west coast of NZ too.Cheers Rob
