I wouldn't hire from Brides on Thorndon again. We hired our mens suits for our Wedding in April 2023. Firstly, I agree with all the other feedback that Jenny is amazing. Jill, the owner, however let us down and caused me a great amount of stress. We booked in our final suit fitting and flew up our son from Christchurch for the morning for the fitting. Jill failed to write the booking in her book and although they advertise they open at 10am on a Saturday, they weren't!. We waited 35 minutes outside. We rang and left messages and emailed. There is no mobile contact number for anything urgent, so we left to try to get suits elsewhere. We were called just before 11am to be told Jenny and Jill were now there. They had gone out for coffee. Jenny looked very apologetic, however Jill was adamant that as the owner she could shut up shop get coffee as she pleased. When I questioned her as to why there is no mobile number so people could contact them inside of working hours, I was told she didn't want to be on call to everyone and anyone. I felt completely dismissed by Jill and I found her attitude unprofessional. There are other options and as you cant guarantee that Jill will be open, or contactable, I would definitely look elsewhere. Its just too stressful dealing with her.BTW- the boys did look amazing and the only stress in organizing our wedding was dealing with Jill.

Rachel and the team offer an exceptional service! I found the process to be incredibly easy and smooth running. I sent a measurement form through two weeks beforehand and had everything sized and ready to go on the day. Simply arrive, try on, adjust and your out of the door in ten minutes. Even with a last minute swap out required, they were incredibly accommodating and quick to act at the drop of a hat. 10/10 highly recommended.

My Husband and I just got married and 2 weeks before the wedding, the suite shop we were using said they wouldn’t have our suits made on time, through word of mouth I found Taylor Made Suits and I couldn’t be anymore grateful. The lovely lady was very professional and spent a lot of time making sure we were happy with the fabrics and sizes etc. the suits arrived earlier than she said and she even drove to our house, after hours, to deliver the suit and make sure the fitting was correct. I can’t thank the lovely team at Taylor Made Suits. You guys saved our wedding!!!! Highway Reccomend

It was an amazing experience I've had with Balmoral Suit Hire, that I'd like to share.During this lockdown and when I was almost giving up on finding a suit to my wedding; Mark and Sam did their best to let me have a suit and enjoy my wedding.Everything was amazingly organised and everything was on time. Because I can't check a suit in the shop; they had to give me 3 suits to try on to make sure to find my right size.. so professional, highly recommended.

I have just collected a hand-made, fully lined Harris Tweed jacket that Trudy at Nemo had altered to fit for me. This is a very special garment as it belonged to my late mother, and I wouldn't have trusted it to anyone else. The end result was just perfect. Without doubt it's the most special and best-fitting item in my wardrobe, and one that I will get to wear with joy for the rest of my life. Thank you Trudy!
