HCC has made big investment in the Hamilton Zoo since we last visited 2 years ago. It was so well patronized there was a queue to enter (10 mins) & the car parks so full we & others had to park on Brymer Road, roadside. There is public transportation if you need it or prefer. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was my son's 3rd visit since 2018 & definitely the best.

There’s few great things on this place access to the disability mobile carts, small restaurant on the entrance and also ice cream and there’s 2 vending machines with chips and drink pay by card or cash, try go there feeding time and you can clearly see them and enjoy there, please do not feed the animals but you can bring your own food and enjoy with your friend’s and family also very nice play ground for kids and adults, toilets are very clean and there few spot that you can get drinking water and enjoy

This is a great little zoo to visit with young kids. It looks small on a map but be warned that there is a lot of undulation so it actually is a decent walk.It had a surprisingly diverse range of animals, which the kids loved, and our favourite part were the little entertainment areas for the kids along the walking route - this place was definitely built with kids in mind. The cafe is also definitely worth visiting and very opposite to the usual food you'd expect at a tourist attraction. I'd recommend booking in advance if you plan on coming on a weekend as you can visit the zoo, have lunch, then re enter the zoo and continue your day.

My family and I visited the Zoo over the weekend last weekend for Children's day and we had an absolute beautiful day. The staff were sooo friendly the animals were all being feed so were able to see them all out. The walk around the whole Zoo is always a good walk especially now they have upgraded too.

Zoo is well maintained and quite some improvements than we visited few months back, which is pretty good. Would love to have few more interactions with animals up close, like if they could make few more viewing places as it’s difficult to see some animals on a busy day because of less viewing spaces. But overall its an amazing place to spend time, especially with kids.

Fabulous afternoon spent with the children wandering around looking at all the wonderful animals. Love all the tables and chairs dotted all around the zoo as well as multiple activity areas to keep the little ones entertained. End the day at the cafe with a ice-cream, cold drink or a delicious coffee while the children have one last burst of energy in the play ground.

Really good considering it was a hot day and there is still much work going on. Didn't spot many animals but still had a lovely time. As for the cafe attached to the entrance...this was a severe disappointment. The coffee was great, however extremely overpriced considering much of my iced coffee was ice. The fish burger was bland, the gf bun doughy (they need a light toasting to be good) and the onions were left in my burger despite my request that they not included. The fries were dry and the aioli was creamy but tangy and just not good. The service there was ok, however it seemed like no one cared...so while a visit to the zoo is totally recommended my rating is brought down by the huge disappointment in the cafe. A new menu perhaps? Some better planning of taste?? I'd say go to the zoo and then head for either the sugar bowl cafe or LK coffee hub...both only a short drive away and totally worth the trip!!

I went on a school trip with my grandson. It has been about 10 years since I've last been, and there have been some awesome renovations done. The entrance has a new cafe which is very modern and they make a great mocca. The carpark is a lot bigger but is very tight to maneuver around. The playground at the entrance has been renovated, and there are much more covered picnic tables to eat at and also more toilets. The toilet facilities around the zoo have also been updated and expanded. As a whole, the new renovations make the zoo a more family-friendly place to visit.

Love this Zoo,wide paving is good for mobility people or a little unco like my Mum who is unsteady. All the staff smile easily at the public.Easy to navigate & the carpark is lovely & thought out. Good playground to entertain your own chimps while u eat. Look forward to our next visit.
