Glentanner Park Centre (Mount Cook)

If you're spending the night within Aoraki Mt Cook National Park, I give Glentanner my highest recommendation!Yes, camping at White Horse Hill Campground may save you some time and money, but Glentanner has so much more to offer!The toilets were clean with relaxing hot showers. The kitchen was huge and well equipped. Laundry was also available (but I didn't use it), and a dining area is right next to the kitchen with a few tables of sizes varying from 2 to 6. And boy, did I love the lounging area and its roaring fire this time of the year!All this, for just $10 more than White Horse Hill Campground (I came during low season, your cost may vary) and a 20-minute drive from the treks. Take this opportunity to time your drive to catch the sunrise - the view along the way is magical!

Perfect for a 1 night stay before hitting Mt Cook. There is lot of room for unpowered sites. Showers are good. The kitchen is quite large with some equipment available for borrowing. The view on the river is a nice addition. Basically there’s everything you need for a short stop over.

Peaceful camp with many powered sites 15-minute drive from Mt Cook Village. Basic clean toilets, no hair dryer. Well stocked kitchen. Large dinning room with pretty views to the lake and mountains and fireplace. Large covered bbq area.You can choose the site you want, I expected better views from the campervan site itself though.

Outstanding campsite with magnificent views of Mt Cook and surrounds. Unpowered sites are nestled in the trees, nicely spaced, with an old-school camping feel. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are modern, fabulous and very clean. Great BBQ pavilion too. Top spot.

We spent 2 nights in a site for tents or cars without electricity. The location is good, a few km from the hikes but for this reason a lot of people go and the facilities may not be enough. The view is perfect and it has an access to the lake. Service correct ✅

Extremely close to the trails which are amazing. We were in a RV at a powered spot. It is winter so they no water to fill your tank up and they don't allow waste dumping. Affordable clean amazing views.There is a helicopter operation for tourists on site so at 8am the first helicopter was taking off. A little noisy but didn't impact us.

Very decent location! Great views and amenities. We booked at 5:15 and still managed to get a campground powered site. Will be back if I’m back.

Great location close to Mt Cook. Nice clean rooms with breath-taking views from every window. The kitchen and bathrooms are decent with everything you need. We booked in last minute and the woman in reception was super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again :)

Great views but felt like was on a school trip. School party in at the time. Shower block was too cold to consider having a shower. Good kitchen facilities. Everything was clean.
