Astonishingly and outrageously rude service and not being honest about the rental situation. Our flight got delayed and our reserved car was given to other customers. However, the staff did not explain the situation at the start and just told us to wait for five minutes and after another five minutes! In addition, one of the staff threatened us that they would not rent the car to us if we continued to be “rude”, yet I would like to highlight the fact that respect comes in both ways! The staff member was extremely impatient and emotional without understanding the situation at all.

Worst car rental in the world. Slow service then tried to double fee because we were an hour early. Run a mile and then keep going if you see these sharks.

The car was great (new Hyundai iconic). We weren’t traveling far and when my wife asked about charging, the staff said “don’t worry just bring it back”. We just got stung with a $150 charging fee, which seems over the top for just driving around town a bit and to Lyttleton once. They could manage expectations better.

I cannot recommend this company, they issue exorbitant charges without notice and force you to take out per day insurance as the only option. If they see that you are a foreigner, they try to sneak in as much money as possible.

Terribly slow service. Did the Avis Preferred thing on the app, confirmed the car, paid for the car. Collect keys from counter the app said. Then spent 20 minutes waiting for the 1 staff member to serve 1 person infront of me. I hate to think how long it took the queue of 5 people behind me to get their cars! Why are airport car rentals always like this? All you do is hire cars, surely you can make it quicker than 20mins per person.

Smooth transaction and reasonably priced car rental company. The staff who served us was accommodating and explained everything that we need to know. The car was clean and well presented. My only comment is that the car we rented had a bad odour inside. Would have been easily sorted with a car air freshner.

Terrible if you are a corporate. They say they will email receipt but rarely do. You can use a QR card they give you but only lasts for 48 hours.
