Great local club. Very friendly. Good for both beginners and those with taekwondo experience.

I have been training Krav Maga for four years with Dave at IMBC Academy. When I started I was a complete rookie at martial arts, but Dave helped me gain confidence quickly. Dave is a very patient and thorough teacher, and always makes sure you are using correct technique. He is friendly in approach but serious about the learning. He creates a great atmosphere in the classes and new people quickly feel like they are part of the team. I recommend Dave's classes to anyone wanting to learn a very effective method of self defence from a great teacher.

Being a female, with world going the way it is it’s a little scary! So I’ve started Krav and immediately felt like I’ve gained another family! David is very patient and his warm welcoming made me feel like family straight away. He’s shown me tactics that I can do if the worst happened! I 100% recommend doing a class, your first is free and you have nothing to lose!

The other day me and a few of my friends were going to do a trial lesson, but one of my friend were late so we were waiting outside the door for her to come. When she got there we knocked on the door because the lesson has already started. But we were very rudely told to go away and the lady there was very obviously mad and probably thought we were some random kids wandering around super horrible experience. We weren’t rude or anything we were just talking outside while waiting for that friend and we also knocked and waited for the lady’s response. I’d consider that being polite and we did not deserve to be treated like that. We left immediately after that, it would be too awkward to continue after being treated like that

Really good dojang (martial arts training ground) wide range of martial arts such as Hapkido, Haidong Gumdo (sword martial art), Teuk Gong Moo Sol and Taekwondo all for the same price. Master Gary is a fun but strict master helping you better yourself while enjoying yourself. I would recommend to anyone wanting to try martial arts.

Probably one of the best TaeKwon-Do clubs in New Zealand. Extremely high quality and professional teaching, great community, and helpful and friendly members. The club suits and welcomes everyone from 6 to 80: children, teenagers, adults, families. So if you are after learning and practising a martial art, want to improve your fitness, and want to learn self defence, have a try and you will not regret it.
