The Spa at Hanmer Springs
I had a facial and was really looking to a relaxing experience. It was mediocre at best. unconfident hands with a very light touch. It was noisy, sounded like the dishes were being done in the background. Makeup wipes rinsed and reused so my face did not feel clean. Don't think I would recommend

Imagine Fitness Personal Training Studio
I've been training twice a week with James at Imagine Fitness for a couple of years including virtual sessions over Zoom during lockdowns. With his help, I've managed to get back into shape and keep it that way. Wairakei Terraces & Thermal Health Spa
A very nice place. A family business. The hot pool is very hot & if you have heart problems caused by the you know what, i would highly recommend taking kelp powder, water & avoiding the cold dip pool after the hot, the hottest pool is excellent but you need to be in excellent physical condition. Very healing water & a beautiful place. Age restriction is 14+ so not suitable for familys with young children. Overall a great facility. Thanks!

Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools
Definitely need to buy the tickets in advance if you visit during the public holidays. Bought the twice entry tickets on the first night when we arrived. Highly recommend to come after 5pm so the pool is not packed. At the entrance, even I had the ticket already, still wait for around 6-7mins while the other side, people wait longer to buy the tickets. If you already wait at the entrance, you probably won’t get the locker as it maybe sold out. Kids pool is the most popular one, the temperature is good for the cold day.

Imagine Fitness Personal Training Studio
A Google search brought up nearby Imagine Fitness, and I've been training with James now for the past 12 weeks. Not only have I lost over 3kg in weight and 3 inches from my belt, but my general mobility has improved, with fewer clicks and clunks from joints, plus easier walking up steps and hills. The best things about the small group sessions have been how James has tailored the exercises to our specific needs, and how every session has been different. I would certainly recommend James and have already pointed friends to his Studio.
