If you want to get organic fruit and vegetables often different and sometimes cheaper than other places, come here! It may be small, but often with busking and fundraising stalls going on, it has a community feel. if the weather is inclement, there won't be many people, but you can talk to the growers and support local businesses.

Matakana Village Farmers Market
One of a great get aways places for Aucklanders specially. Less than an hour drive from Auckland towards North.This village gives you great sense of NZ rural culture. Some awesome food stalls to try. Pond on the back of the market with a walk way.Must goto NZ top white sand Ohama beach which is like less than 10Kms away from Matakana.Some nice memories we made there.Cheers

Catalina Bay Farmers Market
I've been twice now and love the market. A great selection of stalls, food and the people are very friendly. You can spend quite a few hours here. After exploring the market there is a lovely 5k walk. Catch the ferry if you can because the trip up the harbour is really relaxing and enjoyable.

This is a lovely market with a great vibe. Friendly stallholders with lovely products ranging from men's shaving and beard products to flowers, delicious baked goods, hot food, olive oil and beeswax food covers. Handy location too.

One of the BEST Farmers Market we've visited. The vendors are very friendly and their goods cater to a variety of diets. I highly recommend a visit - you will not be disappointed.My better half and I love the allmite gold yeast spread - a must try, it tastes so good, that it's coming to a Countdown near you soon! to rival the traditional yeast spreads.Jenny's Kitchen Tamarind Chutney, o so good too.ynut coconut candied macadamias, delicious!We bought most of our fresh veges for our Sunday to Wednesday salads, here.There's so much more to try, i.e, manuka honey - high MGO's & UMF's, etc.We went there two Sundays ago and had to go again last Sunday.Assuredly, we will be back again.
