Organic kale for $4.50, plums at $5.50 per kilo, hard to beat price and quality. Also great knowing the money goes directly to local businesses. I just wish we had the farmers market here every day!

Otago Farmers Market in DunedinVisited on 2/2/2019It must be our lucky day that we arrive on the Saturday, because the Otago Farmers Market only open on Saturday.When not used for market, the space is available for carparking for the public and Dunedin train patrons,The Market is very popular in Dunedin, with vendors selling local meats, produce, artisanal goods & snacks. I have a sudden urge for hot pie, so I hunt down the store that sells it. My wife is contented with her caffeine shot!

Vibrant farmers market, nestled in the heart of the city, offers a variety of flavors and delightful ambiance that truly captures the essence of farm-fresh goodness. A wide variety of produce available from fruits ,organic vegetables, milk, egg, fish, meat, seasonal produce etc. Beyond fruits and vegetables, the market has lot of homemade freshly baked bread, pies, jars of local honey, artisanal cheeses , and coffee stalls. Market also have beautiful flower bouquets adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Farmers market visit is an absolute delight.

Was at the farmers market on Saturday. 14th May 2022.It was a rainy day but that didn’t stop the crowd from turning up to patronise the location.There was a large selection of food on display. Coffee carts. Pies. Vegetables. Wines. Fruits. Raspberry jams. A live band was playing throughout as well.We only bought the coffee, had some pies and bought some fruits.The experience was decent while not being spectacular. Had a better experience at the Christchurch farmers market previously.
