Very friendly service. Authentic Japanese menu. Sapporo beer on tap along with a host of family style Japanese dishes. Food was well portioned and tasty.

Quick service. Sat down, ordered and served within about 15mins. Probably had been there less than 30mins total. Was about half full at 530, so make a reservation or come at opening time. Less than 20 seats available until its fully booked. You can't sit at reserved seats, so even though the place looks half empty, it's got people coming eventually.I had the pork bone ramen, the pork would basically fall away in my mouth. Cooked well. The ramen noodles are thinner than regular 2 minutes, sadly.Takoyaki balls were nice, typical.Very quiet atmosphere, relaxed. Would go bac

Simply the best ramen I have ever had. Both the Shoyu and Tonkatsu ramens are amazing. I would come here every week for a bowl if I could.Only small complaint was that the vegetarian miso ramen didn’t match the quality of the meat ramens.

Ramens here are outstanding. Rich in flavour and generous amount of toppings and everything for its price. Breading of the pork cutlets' are nice and crisp. Miso as a side dish were excellent too. Will come back for more.

This is a lovely Japanese restaurant in a casual setting. The folk are always welcoming with great efficient service. There's a great selection of dishes, ramen, udon, curry and even steak and hamburger (without the bun) dishes. The hamburger building is pretty unique in that if you sit around the edge, the sound shell" effect means you can hear quite well what someone during on the other side of the room is saying. Enjoy!"

Cameron Japanese Family Restaurant
Have been a regular for years. The ramen is always delicious, the chashu is always so tender and flavourful. My partner and I always order the karaage chicken and takoyaki. The Karaage is the best in Christchurch without a doubt. Will definitely be back in the future.
