Stopped to look at this beautiful old railway station and to use the bathroom. The facilities were lovely and clean the building rich in character and history.

A shame I had not checked website before heading this way, very disappointing to arrive at camp and deciding to check out area, 1st stop information centre, tried door (locked) looked inside to see woman sitting at desk but when she looked up and saw us she quickly turned her head away. Well I guess Ranfurly, you don't really want visitors, so tomorrow, regrettablywe will head away.

Downed the star rating just because the woman behind the desk was almost accusing me of being an illegal freedom camper even though I clearly asked what there was in town camping wise...really weird experienceI was also cycle touring on my own, I could maybe understand a camper van full of back Packers but why hassle me?

There was a really vibrant, friendly lady who met my husband and I when we visited recently. She was very knowledgeable as relates to the Ranfurly area and environs. The I-site was bright, well lit up and was a happy" building."
