Pine Grove Motel
Very quaint and adorable hostel. There was a potty fed calf and lambs in the paddock next door that enjoyed being pat. As we were camping we shared the kitchen and bathroom facilities of one of the self contained units with several other backpacks. The lady who owned the place was incredibly helpful and even offered us milk and wifi free of charge. Great value for money and significantly cheaper than anywhere up at Fox Glacier.

Great value, simple accommodation. Super friendly and obliging hosts who went the extra mile for us when we arrived on our bikes dripping wet after a real West Coast downpour. Our motel unit was comfy and clean and had all the bits and pieces you need.

Pine Grove Motel
We stayed in one of Pine Grove's tourist cabins. These were old workers cabins (very charming if you like classic Kiwi heritage, but could seem a little lacking in modern features if you are expecting air-con and all mod-cons). Very reasonable price for staying a few days and towels changed daily. Very friendly owner/operators. It is a great place to explore from, being in easy reach of Fox Glacier and Bruce's Bay. Local Hunt's Beach is a charming coast on a good day.

The location js the only advantage of this place when booking a basic cabin. The place is very dirty, there’s mold in the shower and pieces of wall are falling off in the kitchen. The basic cabins are dirty as well, the sheets were clearly not cleaned, with hairs and stains from previous sleepers. We slept in our own sleeping beds to not touch this.The owner is very nice and tries to be helpful though.

Price is good for touring cyclists, $30 warm room, bed no linen, shared bathroom and we'll equipped camp kitchen. Beats putting up the tent.

Pine Grove Motel
Husband and I stayed for 1 night in a cabin here. It was basic but more than enough for both of us. The kitchen was small but well equipped. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. All for reasonable price, compared to some other accomodations we stayed. Located in a quiet area, we would really love to spend more time here if we had more time.But most of all, the friendly and kind-hearted owners who welcomed us really made us feel like home. Would really recommend this place for a quiet and peaceful rest.

Great location on our cycling route. Friendly owners made booking and check-in a breeze. We have a motel room, shower is great, nice decor and well equipped kitchen. Under over outdoor area for if it's wet. Plunger coffee in the kitchen as well as a selection of tea. Insect screen on at least one window for ventilation unlike many places we have stayed. Good Value at $95 a night.

Best value on the coast! Self-contained motel unit had everything I needed and more, even coffee and plunger, comfortable bed, tv, well-appointed kitchen. Good location near Hunt’s Beach (sunsets) and really appreciated being able to stay with my dog. Relaxing bush surrounds. Would definitely stay here again!
