RaD Car Hire Auckland Airport

I booked a car on-line [Ref: U380973]. Everything seemed normal, but I noticed that some fine print promised me a confirmation eMail. 24hrs later there was no email so I tried phoning. An hour or so (and five phone numbers) later a nice lass told me my booking had been declined - no vehicles available.Had I not checked back I would have arrived at Auckland Airport to discover that I had no transport!I do not think that that is very professional. How do you explain that?

Great price, super efficient pick-up and drop-off, good quality car that was everything we needed for five days travelling around Auckland and surrounds. Will go to RaD for our next rental without hesitation.

We had a really poor experience with RaD cars. During the hire we used a toll road, we then paid for the toll road on the day of. Then 3 weeks later RaD cars charged us a penalty for not paying and telling us to do the follow up with NZTA. Really poor customer experience for us and suprising they don't have a simple process of checking when you drop the car off (like every other rental we've ever had.

Booked car at Rotorua A/P in September. First class booking service and was very surprised to see not only a good service counter at at the airport but also that the car was in a designated area immediately behind the terminal. (many other car rentals ferry you to another depot quick often some distance from the airport and it all takes time!.) However RaD provided excellent booking in and access to the car - all under 5 minutes!) Same upon return, just parked in RaD's space and 'booking in' was a dream. Car was not new but was very well serviced and handled like a dream. Thanks! Will definitely use the RaD service and network again.

Friendly staff, good service. The car was clean and reliable - an older model as it was cheaper but it did exactly what I wanted. These guys went the extra mile when they found a book we'd left behind by mistake. Many thanks - recommend to all.

Helpful staff and reasonable rates. Why pay through the nose for those big companies like Hertz or Avis when RAD has perfectly good vehicles to hire?

I had arranged to hire a rental car to pick up from Taupo after flying from Perth to NZ. Due to poor customer service from AIR NZ I missed my flight to Taupo and could not pick up my rental car as planned. I had a funeral to attend in Taupo in the afternoon and was no longer going to be able to attend the funeral due to AIRNZ incompetency. The lovely lady Leanne at Taupo depot immediately went into action mode as I could not locate a rental car in the Airport district. Between Taupo Depot and Wellington depot they managed to magic up a vehicle from Auckland so that I could at least make it to the reception for the Funeral. After dropping off the vehicle the next day in Taupo I finally got to meet Leanne in person and was blown away by her customer service and interpersonal skills. She literally put my faith back into NZ customer service. Thank You Leanne and thank you RAD car hire. We have a contingent of Australians coming to NZ in December for our wedding and I will be recommending RAD car hire to them.

Shuttle from the airport. Excellent cars and service. Very nice staff. Rad car hire is a brand to trust.
