Awesome repairs at a fair price. Got a tail repair done recently and was all done in 3 days. Strong, hearty and can hardly tell it was damaged beforehand. Cheers!

Amazing board ever. I'm sort of in between beginner and intermediate level who had always difficulty with paddling out and catching waves because I'm not that fit enough. However, Primal board gives huge advantage of catching more waves and paddling out so easily because of the way it's designed - more floatation and stability. I'm truly satisfied with Primal board.

Got a custom after years of big brand surfboards. Hesitant of design not construction. The board can go about twenty surfs old now and looks new. Great board will get more.

Got recommended Primal surf, and glad I listened. Got my first board, (that's not my beginner foamy) and Glen was super helpful throughout the process, asking the right questions and giving great advice. Furthermore, got to trial like-boards to help with those tricky decisions. A little bit of extra buoyancy in the right places, going a tad shorter than initially thought I'd go, and a custom paint job and I couldn't be happier. Took it out for a solid 3 hour test run and have to say it ticks all the boxes.A+++ would recommend Primal Surf and Glen to anyone who's in the market for a new board. Good vibes.

Have had two surfboards repaired at Primal Surf. They are craftsmen who do an excellent job of very high quality repairs at good value. Great to repair boards and save landfill, especially with repairs you can rely on.

These guys rock. If your looking for a surf shop owned and run by awesome surfers then Primal Surf Shop is the place to go. They are an old school surf shop because they actually make and repair surfboards on the premises, which in this day and age is very rare. If you want a New Zealand made custom surfboard these guys are the best surf shop in Auckland easily. They also do trade ins and have some second hand surfboards for sale. We strongly recommend if your looking to get a new surfboard that you drop in or give the guys a call as they really are awesome.

Great advice, friendly vibe. If you're looking for quality surf gear, this is the place. Primal has been in the same location for many years. The staff have a wealth of knowledge & experience and can give advice on a board/ gear that's right for you. If they don't have exactly what you're after they can custom shape it on site. Highly recommend.

Taking my board there for a repair, ended up buying a new one! Lol These guys are legends! Really helpful and patient. They are happy to share their knowledge and putting in the effort of figuring out your needs. I'm really looking forward to my new board and further progress my surfing!
