Loved it went there when it was stormy & back again the next weekend when if was sunny & nice. I though it was beautiful. Would love to go again in summer for a day.

Lovely regional Park with a very beginner to intermediate beach for surfing lessons. There is an unsealed road to get to the beach and your car will be covered in dust. Although not necessary, a 4wd is preferred to get here.There aren't any shops near the park, so pack well before coming here.

Stunning beautiful beach, crystal clear water. Great walks if thats your thing. Plenty of beach if you want privacy.

Te Arai is about 1 and half hour drive from Auckland city. Very remote place. It has zero light pollution and prefect for Milky way photography. This place is very good for a family picnic. Has public toilets. Good one for surfers. Beautiful beach. Amazing views. Must visit place.

Can't get any closer to nature. Pristine water and beach. And so often we saw dolphins or bronze whalers...amazing place

Te Arai Regional Park
One of the most beautiful beaches in NZ. Loads of rocks to clamber on with rock pools in between. Long sandy beach, great waves for surfers.
