Words cannot describe how aweful the service was by the owner. She threw the cutlery at one of our team.Absoluetly miserable.Too bad because who ever is cooking is being let down. The ribs were tasty and Chicken Snitzel was very good.

Very nice small camp tucked away behind the hotel. Facilities in camp are very clean. Good size showers with good water pressure. Pub serves good meals. Menu offers a wide variety of choices. Surroundings both within the pub and camp are very pleasant.

Amazing country hospitality. Great place to stop off at on the Clutha Gold cycle trail. Amazing burgers, up there with the best I've ever had. Rose behind the bar is a truly outstanding team member, she helped us out of a bit of a jam and offers true southern hospitality

This place is an excellent break point, mid trip. The fire is always going on a cold day. Very polite staff and the meals are fantastic. They really know how to cook a whitebait pattie!

The hotel was super busy with a hunting competition, which was great. However the owner was super snarky because we were not staying, only eating there. She made a snide comment about what they have to do to survive, presumably referring to crowds frim the hunting competition, which seemed a great initiative not something to be sassy about - this added a very bitter flavour to an otherwise tasty meal.
