Chic Restaurant - Bar
Started our evening off down the road at the Kaiser brew garden and was very disappointed. Came over to chic and it was awesome! Got the large fishbowl. Service was great. Made our night

I’ve had Iranian food in every country where I can find an Iranian restaurant. The USA, UK, Germany, France…even Colombia. This was by far the best I’ve had. The food was amazing! The quality of their meat is extra ordinary and it is cooked really well.

The portions were huge, we ordered a slow cooker and a grill and both were delicious. Middle Eastern style coffee is definitely worth trying. We arrived at noon, there were four or five tables of people, the waiters were very gentle, running in and out, busy. The decoration of the restaurant is very Middle Eastern and quite atmospheric.Today is lunch, my wife's parents' last meal in Auckland, and they will fly back to Shanghai in the evening. They are very satisfied with having come to this restaurant by chance and eating such special food.

Chic Restaurant - Bar
I stumbled across this place on a cold July evening and could not be happier! I love Mediterranean food, so this was a great discovery. Lovely, fast service and a delicious meal that I could take back to my hotel room! Yum. Lots of choices and very hard to choose, so I'll just have to go back next time I'm in town.

Persian Delight
Didn't try the souvlaki however, tender chicken pieces and chips was a big winner. Yum! Both the chips and chicken were seasoned well and cooked great. Decent value for money.

Akdeniz restaurant offers an authentic Persian cuisine at its best in beautiful Devonport location with added bonus of a hospitable host, and a cozy ambiance & serving area.Kebab Barg (a marinated barbequed lamb kebab) and Joojeh (chicken Kebab) are among popular dishes and a must try.Eggplant dip and saffron ice cream are among specialties of the Persian cuisine which Akdeniz present them gorgeously delicious.

I've been to Saffron three times so far - and each time it was superb! The food is delicious, and the Saffron team cater well for dietary requirements. The special in-house tea is a lovely experience - and the saffron, pistachio and rosewater ice cream - oh my goodness - I've returned just for that alone! So good.

Great food and service with a smile. Huge servings. The menu is not huge but it’s easy to decide what you want and the dishes are authentic and have a homemade feel. The saffron ice cream is amazing and it’s really nice to sit and drink tea while the food settles. The owner kept filling the teapot and we felt no pressure to leave. My husband is from Nth Africa and the owner played music from that area when he found out which was a lovely touch. Definitely give this place a try. I’m very keen to try the breakfast next.

Persia Kebabs
I have been to this place before (previous owners) a few times and loved their food. I visited today about 12nn but they weren't serving food yet. I think the place was just starting the day. It's a shame as I was really craving for Kebabs on Rice. I would have thought that places like this will be open before midday. Would have ordered 3x portions as was with my workmates. Sales lost. Anyway...
