AKDENIZ BAR CAFE RESTAURANT PERSIAN
I’ve had Iranian food in every country where I can find an Iranian restaurant. The USA, UK, Germany, France…even Colombia. This was by far the best I’ve had. The food was amazing! The quality of their meat is extra ordinary and it is cooked really well.

The portions were huge, we ordered a slow cooker and a grill and both were delicious. Middle Eastern style coffee is definitely worth trying. We arrived at noon, there were four or five tables of people, the waiters were very gentle, running in and out, busy. The decoration of the restaurant is very Middle Eastern and quite atmospheric.Today is lunch, my wife's parents' last meal in Auckland, and they will fly back to Shanghai in the evening. They are very satisfied with having come to this restaurant by chance and eating such special food.

Akdeniz restaurant offers an authentic Persian cuisine at its best in beautiful Devonport location with added bonus of a hospitable host, and a cozy ambiance & serving area.Kebab Barg (a marinated barbequed lamb kebab) and Joojeh (chicken Kebab) are among popular dishes and a must try.Eggplant dip and saffron ice cream are among specialties of the Persian cuisine which Akdeniz present them gorgeously delicious.

Delicious little Persian restaurant on the main street in Devonport. We were looking for fish n chips but we saw the plates of some diners and had to get involved. We had a lamb platter and then chicken platter. Very tasty!

Such an amazing experience. Food is AAA took me to the kabab shops Iran with that authentic taste. I just want to say thanks to chef as he was very welcoming. Also the environment is kind of like the Bazars in tehran and Isfehan.

I brought my friend and her boyfriend today to try out Persian food and I’m happy to find that they were quite impressed. I ordered the dandeh kebab and it was very delicious. It was very tender and practically falls off the bones. The servings were also worth the price, even fitting for two people to finish. My friend and her boyfriend enjoyed the mixed platter and especially loved the bread and hummus. All of us also enjoyed the rice that comes with the dishes, especially the crunchy layer on top! The water from the jug they offered had a weird metallic taste so we decided to order drinks as well. My friend found the coffee a bit too sour, which might be because the coffee beans were too old. Otherwise, it was a very lovely experience and the staff were nice and accommodating. Will come back again next time!!

We had 3 different mains. All of them were full of flavour and perfectly cooked and presented in a really nice platter. The portions were suitable for the cost. The atmosphere is perfect. The owner’s are super nice and welcoming. Highly recommend the lamb shank. Best authentic Persian cuisine in Auckland.We took the ferry to Devenport the location was perfect it’s short walk from ferry terminal.

One of my favorite places to go to for a lovely great dinner, friendly staff and even greater atmosphere. The decor is amazing!!Will visit this place often because the dishes are very generous
