Victoria Clock Tower
My son was terrified of this for some reason! We didn't stay long but you can walk underneath it. It is very ornate and beautiful but in a busy part of town and it's hard to get a park close.

Victoria Clock Tower
The Victoria Clock Tower was designed by Benjamin Mountfort under the commission of the Canterbury Provincial Council. It was made in England in 1860, and was a temporary fixture of the Provincial Buildings before becoming a monument to mark Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee. The Clock Tower was relocated once again in 1930 to Victoria Street, where it continues to reside today.

It's always worth adventuring around Point Halswell on the Miramar Peninsula - formerly known by the much more interesting Māori name Kaitawharo (to eat jellyfish"). The Massey Memorial is in fact the mausoleum of William Massey

Thames War Memorial Monument
Very well maintained monument with excellent lighting and views of the city at night. I went up very late at night when the sky was clear and a full moon. Was spectacular.

The marble memorial carries an allure of a gone by era. The mesmerizing views of Wellington harbour come as an extra bonus
