Just finished a 2 week vacation on the South Island of New Zealand. We drove an older Hyundai Getz around the island and we had a wonderful time.We contacted them through their free number when we landed and was able to use their free shuttle to get to their location site.Customer service was extremely fast and we were able to get our car quickly when we landed. We were also given a safety briefing as well as tons of advice and tips for driving in NZ. Coming from California, it was kind of daunting to be driving differently, but Abell Rentals really helped us along the way with a smile.The car functioned as promised through the entirety of our trip and we had zero issues throughout.Allan has some good and reliable employees and were a joy to speak to. Would definitely recommend to others.

Had a wonderful experience with this company. Allan went above and beyond with customer service and made me feel at ease with the whole process. Probably the only reasonable prices for high season I was able to find. I had some bad luck and damaged the windshield after a rock flew off another vehicle at me on the highway, I was very anxious to deal with the process since I went through my own insurance, but Allan made it easy and was super fair with it all including finding a good price on the cost of repair. Lovely to chat with a local like Allan about the sights to see and I will definitely make this my go to spot for rentals.

My girlfriend and I rented a Mazda demio (Mazda 2) for just under a month. It was by far the most competitive rental price of all the rental companies we could find and google. The staff were friendly, kind and informative. Would 100% recommend going with these guys no hesitation. Thanks for making our trip around the South Island possible and affordable along with a great car!

I came off the plane with no plans and no car.Looked around and everything was crazy expensive. And running out of stock.Then found abell rentalsPrice was way more affordable.Allan is a awesome guy to deal with. So straight up and easy. Picked me up from airport within 10mins as he was driving past.He had a nice economic car to use and I took it out to Arthur's pass from Christchurch.Can't say enough good things about the experience.I'm one happy customer.And next time in chch I'll be trying to hire from the same guys.
