The Tapora Golf Course was established in 1964. Located a 1hr 30 minute drive from Auckland, it sits proudly on the undulating sand dunes of the Kaipara Harbour. In early 2023 the grounds underwent a major refurbishment including the installation of New Zealand's first synthetic greens, new tee blocks, water hazards and cart paths. The nature of a links style golf course combined with synthetic greens enables it to be dry and open for play 365 days a year. This all ability course is both trundler and golf cart friendly. The Tapora Golf Course is a 9 green, 18 hole golf course.

Played a few weeks ago at this great little gem, very welcoming members, ladies and Gents. The course was in good order especially the greens pretty quick. Well worth a visit will definitely be back thank you to all the members cheers!!

Hikurangi Golf Club
My review relates to the food. My whanau went there for dinner which they are advertising for the general public on Facebook. We had 3 roast pork at $16 each. Portions were small. One plate had 2 potatoes one plate had 1 potato ( each the size of an ice cube) . One plate had a smear of gravy. All were cooked earlier and warmed in the microwave. I can't comment on the other items on the menu but the roast is poor value for money. I'd rather drive into town and get a decent roast for that price.

Went for dinner. Cheap family dinner. Great food. Good selection. Nice atmosphere. Friendly.
