Bumblebee Apothecary Cafe
Quality pies. In fact, so far, the best pie I've had in New Zealand. The staff are accommodating and friendly, easy going too.The biscuits were scrumptious and the coffee had a nice balance and blend to it.Tucked away off the main road, and a nice little market to explore if you want to. Dog friendly with seating outside.The pies make this place a must visit though!Thank you.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere of this place! Worth the stop, was recommended to visit due to their pies and I can definitely say I will be returning! Delicious, love the decor, lots of options and a totally unique spot. Service was great, coffees were great, this will be a place I highly highly recommend to anyone traveling past

Bumblebee Apothecary Cafe
Had a delicious venison and rosemary pie - lovely rich comforting flavour with chunks of meat. I was super excited to try the anko scroll too as I have never tried anything like it before. It had a sweet icing on top of a very delicately flavoured and intricately made scroll base. It was fresh and not at all doughy as some scrolls can be. Lovely lady serving too. Highly recommended.

Adorable cafe with excellent customer service and very helpful in providing an explanation on the various drinks they offer. Best flat white I’ve had traveling through NZ. The pie crust was amazing, flaky and buttery. The filling was tasty as well.

Great spot to take a break! We got a pie, mint slice and brownie, plus two coffees. The pie pastry was one of the best I’ve ever had! It was flaky yet held together really well and had a lovely buttery-ness. The slice had the perfect amount of mint and not overly sweet. The brownie was gluten free and you could never tell. The coffees were fantastic, we were so impressed. Thank you for waking us up during our big drive!

We came here for a coffee and it was a great idea. We order two coffees, a carrot cake and a brownie and it was every perfect. Super tasty and the people there were super nice!
