Quality Suites Huka Falls

First of all, the photos are misleading as it is not what this place looks like. Place looks like its rundown and not maintained at all.Second, sheets and blankets in the single beds were dirty.Third, the rooms and the lounge are had a bad smell like it hasn't been cleaned for a long time.Fourth, they didn't provide us with the wifi login details.Fifth, toilet seat was broken.Sixth, the TV had only 1 channel working.Seventh, no dishwasher liquid.Eighth, the beds and pillows were not comfy. Was so itchy and no one had a good sleep.And the list just goes on!And to make it worse, when we called the reception to complain they said someone was going to come to fix the issues but no one turned up. When we called them again, the receptionist said its only her 2nd day on the job and she doesn't know how to help as the cleaners are gone and they are short staffed.So, we had to go buy blankets, sheets, air fresheners and dishwasher liquid from Warehouse at night. Just imagine that experience! We didn't have a good sleep at all and we just couldn't wait to get out of that place.I would strongly advise everyone to avoid this place completely, save your money or book elsewhere!This place needs major work including their facilities and general maintenance. I have never experienced anything like this before!

Atrocious, looks nothing like the photos. Freezing room, doesn't have amenities it claimed... and for that price. One glass, 2 side plates, 1 seat, no table, no outdoor chairs, smallest TV stuck in corner, no shampoo. Won't be back.

Beautiful place with beautiful surroundings.I will start with the negative first.Dead flies hanging in the curtain creases,Mould in the shower,TV is very small and in an inconvenient placeA beautiful building, but very outdated, could do with fresh and up to date light fittings and walls.Cold tap in the bathroom was loose and intimidating to use,Cutlery, cups and glasses were unclean,Not enough sugar,Too hard to book on website, and address on website is incorrectDriving in, the building where the catering business is, is a bit of an eye sore as well as a vehicle belonging to the place with a smashed out back window.Now for the positive.nice and quietbed was super comfy and largeroom was very warmCustomer service was super friendly, above and beyondShower was nice and hot, linen nice and clean.HOWEVER! I would come and stay there again for the fact of convenience, comfort and privacy. The villas are placed perfectly and with a little upgrade and TLC I would pay a little more. The price charged may be a little bit more than what its worth, but for Taupo rates, one cant complain.

This place is horrible!Nothing like the pics! Attention is awful the manager is a rude!We book for 3 we never have confirmations of the bookingWe have to call several time to have the confirmation!Only 2 single bed attachedWe have to buy an air mattress for our child to sleep in the floor.Overcharged! No one takes responsibility .People screaming and crying on the reception and manager using the f word.We will never gonna be back and I will claim for full refund!

Cute little cabins that show a bit of age!This place was wonderful. Beautiful little cabins with wood features that gave off a very rustic vibe. We loved our stay here and it felt like a home away from home. The cabins are showing their age a little bit, but not enough that I felt it dampened our experience.Great location too - huka falls is only a few minutes up the road, the shops in the other direction and a great gateway to all the local attractions.Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

Great location, only a stones throw from town.Some of the units could use a bit of work to spruce them up.But all in all they are comfortable and fit for purpose.
