World Class Food in a picturesque village.Amazing experience: Japanese-Kiwi high fusion cuisine. Attention to details, exquisite taste profiles and locally sourced produce. What not to love? Additionally, the head chef and the owner is a former tutor of Witt and the president of Taranaki Branch of NZ Chefs Association. Love their food and service.

Had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant last night. Had the 3 course set menu and we both ordered different dishes. Wow what a delight to have food that is obviously created with much love and skill. Best food we have had locally. Can not speak highly enough. Our waitress was awesome . Price did not reflect the quality of meal. Will definitely be back. So worth the drive.

Loved it and the staff and service was awesome. The garden festival was on and people were streaming in by the dozens and still the staff managed to control the situation while serving the lucky few hew managed to get a table. Excellent handling of a difficult situation. We will be back for sure.

Busy place. Shame they're so obsessed with walk-ins rather than their tables on-site. 50 minute wait for drinks that never arrived, asked to wait another 15 for food. Could see wrong food going to tables that have already been served. Off to somewhere else. The big issue is, we had to ask where our drinks were. Would have waited for food if we'd at least been served our drinks.

Second time here for me but my husband popped in 3 times (!) when I went away for a mere week. I had the eggs bene with gravalax salmon both times because I couldn't imagine anything could be better but apparently the chicken burger is dynamite too.
