Eggs Benedict was stunning - only downside was rind on the bacon. But more than made up for with the yummy rosti. Long black was perfect.

A nice Cafe, near the University. I had a coffee and it wasn't bad. The staff are nice and friendly, and there are ample tables to enjoy one's coffee. The Cafe also provides a variety of Cafe foods, though I didn’t have a chance to try it. May try their coffee again. Thank you.

Generous serving AND adapting my breakfast for keto preferences….. staff made things seem easy. Yum! Lovely setting. Outside tables with morning sun. Great location for walking & campus access. Wheel chair accessible for both cafe & toilets.

Such a cute little breakfast, lunch, or snack spot near the university. I was disappointed that they were out of vegan sandwiches (they should advertise that they are very spicy, my friend had one). But the steak sandwich was PHENOMENAL. And the art was LOVELY.

Lovely food. They got many selection of vegan, gluten free and diary food choices. Good for fussy customers lol. And I can see they are environmental friendly as they use paper takeaway containers and straws. Can't ask for more in this cafe. I just love it!!

The Good Earth Cafe
We have frequented this cafe many times when in Dunedin. today my husband our son and his girlfriend queued to take a seat. The staff serving tables seemed very stressed with one shouting at customers to move tables and create space for staff. My husband asked what was the procedure for a table and the first staff member ignored him the second helped us merge two tables together. My husband and I ordered while my son and girlfriend nipped out to buy memorabilia from University shop.When they returned they queued. I was served my bagel. When they got to the front of queue they were advised that the kitchen was closing for an hour so staff could take a break. The waitress was quietly telling her when the waitress that had previously shouted at a table became very aggressive and said they couldn’t order kitchen food and she was locking the front door. She then began to say if they had a problem to write a letter to the hospitality association! I explained they were with us and she just glared.She then walked to front door and locked it.The cafe came to a hush and all ate quietly quite bizarre! There was a very strange atmospheri and we managed to eat my bagel and share husbands food before leaving out side door. The table next to us reached out as we were leaving to ask if we were ok. They also were very uncomfortable.I suggest hiring new staff or politely asking that certain staff member to cut her losses and give up!

Very noisy with traffic outside and loud talking inside but I'm noise sensitive. The steak and salad sandwich would have been great if there wasn't so much pickle on the bread! The steak was cooked beautifully.

The Good Earth Cafe
We were on a South Island trip with friends and had the opportunity to stop by the Good earth Cafe for breakfast. The place was charming, well lit, serving a large breakfast menu and across the Otago University. We had a good time - food was good and service fast. Highly recommend this cafe.
