Green Cabs (Taxi) - Dunedin

I booked a taxi at 2 pm (at least twenty minutes in advance ), want the taxi to come to pick me at around 2:45 pm from Dunedin town center where I stayed, to catch the intercity bus to Queenstown in the afternoon (15/09/2018 at 3.00 pm), BUT the taxi CAME LATE twenty minutes around 3 pm and just told me TODAY IS BUSY ON TAXI. But I mean if you guys were busy, should tell me earlier and I could make my adjustment to choose other company or transport, but U GUYS DIDNT TELL ME. So I missed my intercity bus with no refund. And I booked the intercity bus in the next day on 16/09/2018. FIRSTLY, no refund from you guys, secondly, no responses from anyone by email or phone call. DISPOINTTED OF SERVICE!

Had a very astute friendly female driver who took me to the Dunedin airport. Car smelt so good and the rates were very reasonable. Will definitely be using Green cabs again when I return for work next month.

Have been riding with Penelope from green cabs for over 15months now and can absolutely say she is the best cab driver I have had nationwide. As a company we travel regularly nationwide and no ride in other centres compares to the Dunedin airport ride with Pen. Other drivers are a bit odd sometimes so we always specifically request Pen.

Ok so I NEEDED a taxi at exactly 6pm. I booked 1 hour in advance. around 5:20 I called the call center to make sure that booking in advance reserves you a spot (You would assume so, but i wanted to make sure).I was told yes, my Taxi would be there on time.Come 4 minutes to, the app tells me that my order has been cancelled? I called up to ask what had happened, and they told me that there is no driver available? The next one would be about 30 mins away??????Completely ruined my evening, and honestly i'm not surprised to see that all the reviews on here are 1 star so far. Truly awful service

I got a ride out to the airport with Shaun. Great driver, on time, very friendly and lovely clean cab. Recommend!! I will definitely book him when I’m back in Dunedin.

Went to Dunedin on a cruise. Three of us, including my 93 year old mother. Green Cabs just recently listed with the information centre there. Booked at the wharf for a 2 hour tour. Bob, our driver, was superb! Took us to many places a normal tour would not be able to go to. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Would recommend highly. Thanks, Bob.

Ok so similar story to Jack who reviewed down further. So we booked a taxi on the 20th Feb for a concert on the 1st of April as we knew the taxi companies would be super busy tonight. We rung just to confirm the booking and got told it had been cancelled (even though we hadn’t cancelled anything like why the hell would we!) Then we told them we needed a taxi that we had booked and payed for in advance to pick us up then got told they were “fully booked” absolutely appalling service. The girl who answered the phone was useless,the supervisor who we asked to speak to (Eliott) was no better. Funny how when we said to them we wanted to make the time slightly later for pick up they said “oh that’s slightly better” well hold on a sec we were just told a min ago you were fully booked.... Would NEVER use this company again they are lazy,misinformed and argumentative and rude also not willing to provide a soultion to the fact we now had no taxi to take us to our concert and almost missed it because of Green Cabs. Would highly recommend United taxis in Dunedin they saved the day!

I'm sorry I couldn't remember my driver's name but thank you so much for his help. I was stuck at Dunedin Airport until he agreed on a fare to drive me to Christchurch quickly so that I can catch a connecting flight and get out of Dunedin. He was extremely helpful and polite for the long journey. Thank you so much again.

We booked a cab in advance to take us to the intercity bus station but they called to tell us that they were running severely late 2 minutes before the cab was due to pick us up. This left us frantically trying to find an alternative way to the station and we almost missed our bus. Given that they knew our destination was the intercity bus station (and therefore we had a bus to catch) I’m shocked at how little notice they gave us and they made no effort to rectify the situation or help us out. Do not use them if you want a reliable service.

Booked 3 cabs in advance by phone to take 12 people to Glenfalloch for a surprise birthday lunch. 2 of the three cabs turned up on time but the third one was a no show.One of the drivers phoned his company to find out where the third cab was. Both 1st and 2nd cab then left for Glenfalloch leaving the remaining four passengers (including the birthday girl) standing on the sidewalk waiting! After a further 10 minutes of 'no show' I received a phone call from the 'call centre' to say they failed to notice that 3 cabs were required - and that only 2 cabs were only ever available at that time of the day! They offered to organise another cab from a different company but it would take a while to get to us. A family member then drove us to the restaurant. We had also booked 3 cabs to bring us back from the restaurant after our lunch. What disappointed me was that the booking 'department' should have spotted this anomaly when I made the booking days in advance. But to be left standing on the sidewalk and then told, sorry we don't have a cab for you, just wasn't good enough. The person who called later to apologise just seemed to think an explanation that 'the call centre didn't realise that 3 cabs were booked, and only 2 were available' was enough! The two drivers that did turn up, did a good job - but management and administration failed. No offer of compensation and no sincerity in the apology has left me not wanting to use this company again.
