NZ Post Shop Wakatipu

Worst service I have had at a post office today. Tried to send a tiny fridge magnet to Australia and got told “no, it interferes with the plane”… since when?? So I can bring a magnet in my carry on but it cannot be posted? Stop lying to customers. Better off driving the extra 10mins into the town centre post office.

Worst customer service I have ever seen. The girls at the counter are rude, grumpy and couldn't care less. I have been there multiple times over the years to send parcels overseas. They are never helpful and don't even try! Even tracking a parcel apparently they can't help". Now I'd rather drive into town and post my parcels from there. Never giving them my money again!"

The older lady working and younger blonde guy were so unbelievably rude. I had a few questions about sending internationally and she couldn't even answer my questions without speaking to me disrespectfully or as if I was stupid. I could hear them both gossiping and when I asked for another piece of paper he responded rudely as well. I ended up in tears and left the post office entirely.

I called there maybe 10 times and they just never pick up, I also tried to leave a voice mail but it has not been answered.Edit: after going to the place in person the staff was actually nice, so I am adding a few stars

I went here with a box almost ready to post except for some packing tape to seal it and postage label.The staff insisted I buy and entire roll of packing tape to seal the box when they had an open roll sitting behind the counter. They explained that they can't seal everyone's boxes but that's not what I asked for, I was happy to wrap it myself, I just don't want to buy an entire roll for one parcel. Just put a roll out with the pens for people to use, or heck, I'll buy it by the metre if your that stingy.I usually buy postage online, but I don't have access to a printer at the moment, hence going into the shop for more than just a drop off. I expected they would enter the address and print a label just like when you do it yourself online, but they just gave me a barcode to stick on without any paper to write the address. The ballpoint pen went straight through the first layer of corrugated cardboard when I tried to write directly on the box. Staff did not help, notice or care. I ended up writing the address on a sticky note and covering it with the extremely larger amount of packing tape, which I had to buy because of my earlier issue.

Unfortunately I had a really unpleasant experience this morning when I was enquiring about an issue with a parcel I posted from this post shop last week. The girl working with curly hair tied back and glasses was so unnecessarily rude to me. She refused to give me ten seconds of her time to help me with my question and I was completely shocked at her rudeness. Really disappointing to see customer service like this. I will try and find another post shop next time which is a shame.

NZ post refuses to deliver to Hanleys farm and jacks point. Or no one seems to know why there is no post being delivered there.DO YOUR JOB NZ POST.Deliver people their mail.

This is nestled in the pharmacy at Frankton so you’ll need to walk in the pharmacy to see the New Zealand Post sign. Not much of a queue on a Wednesday afternoon at 4pm, but the staff on duty was curt and not at all welcoming. Just get what you need and don’t expect a positive service experience.

The staff at this post office location can only do simple things such as sending post card. They are not trained for more complicated scenarios. I have been given a quote of almost 500 dollars to send shipment to Russia. They didn't offer any other options. 2 ladies assisted me. I went online after it and there is an options to ship for 200 that would suit my needs. I called them to ask why this option wasn't offered and they weren't even aware what is the NZ post offering. They also said that the lady assisting me was still learning - she should have been supervised.

Staff won't accept mask exemptions that are from the Ministry of the Health and only serve people without masks outside. The owner keeps referring to a company policy but refuses to actually show the policy. The owner, who seems uneducated and only capable of low resolution thinking, thinks that writing to a board with a marker pen is an actual legally valid policy.
