Literally criminals. One of their drivers, whilst driving a school van for disabled children, crashed into my parked vehicle. The driver then left someone else's details on my windscreen.When I made contact with Cross Country Rentals, they first denied any knowledge of the events, eventually they admitted guilt, yet 6 weeks later I'm still waiting for them to provide the drivers details so I can lay an insurance claim and repair my vehicle.***** AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS *****

Due to being unable to use our own vehicle on a south island cross country trip ( ferry issues) we hired a 4x4 ute from chch, what a fabulous trip it turned out to be, this would not have happened if not for the stand up team in chch who saved our bacon, we'll done team 12/10 for everything you have done to make this such a memorable trip. Rented a 12 seater for a family trip around the south island rather than taking 3 cars. Staff were very helpful. The vehicle was extremely comfortable and easy to drive which was a concern driving a big vehicle. Vehicle had lots of luggage space so no need for a trailer which was a plus too. Booking process was easy and collection very simple.

I had just arrived in Christchurch by myself for the very first time. I was carrying three big suitcases and it was lashing it down with rain. My initial plan was to walk 3 kilometres to my hotel but their driver noticed me begin to walk in the rain and so kindly offered me a ride to my destination for free. He was super friendly and since then I have highly recommend Cross Country Rentals to others.

Unfortunately after our trip we received a $600 bill to replace 10 belt buckles. I was confused with this as apart from 1 belt buckle I thought we left the bus in a good state! however apparently 10 belt buckles had been damaged. Looking at the photos they provided to us of the damaged" belts this was ridiculous and obviously they could've bent them back. In the end I believe we were charged for the buckles poor flimsy design
