During our luxury home build in the Ben Ohau foothills of the Mackenzie Basin, I realised the inside of the house was never going to be able to compete with the views out of any of the windows. Not to blow our own trumpet but the views up here are spectacular in every direction, and in every season. How do you figure out what sort of interior to match to that? My initial thought was to leave the inside practically bare, as there would be nothing that could do the inside justice compared with the outside. I eventually chose a colour palet of Copper and Pukaki Blue (anyone who has seen Lake Pukaki in all its splendor will understand). However, it didn't take long to realise that there is nothing on the market that would be even remotely adequate... then along comes Isaac Weston. I now have 4 large pieces of Issacs work inside and outside, with a couple of smaller pieces in the media room. I have even brought some for my friends and family. My original thoughts that it would be impossible to get as many comments about the inside of the house as we do about the views, were soon gone with everyone visiting making as many Ooooh's and Aaaahhhs' about the art as the views, I am now the happiest little camper on the planet. Thank you Isaac, you art has made our paradise spectacular inside and out :)
