Fantastic Place, highly recommended if your want to go horse riding, very lovely people, good horses, reasonable price. We were Freedom Horse Trekking for one day. All the equipment like helmets, saddlebags etc. are provided. (except Emergency Beacon 15$)

What a super experience with Gary, Nessie and Hannah.We wanted a small taster horse riding in the hills, enjoying a brilliant high country experience where nothing was too much trouble. I look forward to coming back for a little bit more. Well worthwhile.

Myself & a friend wanted to say thank you for the amazing horse trekking experience we had with your company. Our guide, Garry, was wonderful and made sure that we felt comfortable and safe throughout the entire trek. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and it was such a treat to be able to experience it on horseback. Pukatea Horse Trekking
Our guide was lovely and clearly enjoys working with the horses. The landscape was amazing and the horses were very relaxed and well-trained. I can highly recommend a trek for riders of any level and if we're ever in this part of the world again we'll definitely drop in to see if Ryan and Ice are still around.

A fantastic horse trek trough absolutely stunning country. Phil was super friendly and very knowledgable on the area. The horses were very quiet and perfect for beginner riders. Would thoroughly recommend this horse trek. Will definitely be back to do a longer ride next time. Thanks Phil for a great time.

Gary and the team were fantastic and the scenery was amazing.I’d never even been on a horse before and they made it feel very natural straight away, and then gave us almost complete independence.Highly recommend and would like to bring friends and family back one day.

Pukatea Horse Trekking
My wife and I had a great time! She hadn’t been on a horse in a long time, and I had never been on one without the horse being guided. After going over some basic safety, we jumped on and rode out. Gary was very good to talk to, and in talking to him it helped us relax and feel confident while riding. At the end, we were able to guide our horses back into the paddock which was a real bonding experience
